Just checking the oil and emptying the separators when I see a green rubber band hanging from a wiring harness bundle.
I have owned this car almost 2 years now and it's never been to any shop. I just can't believe I missed it checking oil, wiping down the engine after washes and adding oil separators! Has anyone else come across a rubber band like this?

No rubber bands that I have seen. But I have removed a whole fist-full of black masking tape. I find the stuff on almost every harness. It is partially cut or torn and just hanging there ready to fall off. Ford assembly line employees must be pretty damn lazy because I am sure they are supposed to remove all the wrapping tape before the car is assembled. 2.5 years of ownership later and I still find it.

I’ve got one of those. It’s like the elastic they put on on broccoli.
If I remember I’ll post a picture tomorrow.

I cannot remember. I was so focused on the task at hand (first track experience) I missed quite a bit.
As a matter of fact, the last session was cut short for me because the oil pressure dropped to nothing. I thought the engine went and I had a couple laps to go. After reviewing my recordings I discovered the warning bells and whistles went off for a good lap before I realized it.
Incredible how tunnel vision effects your senses.
I have seen video of the same car after my track day so I guess it’s ok. I was there March of this year.
