The piece of literature the statement was made in has been removed.

Rest easy, there is no 8 second overrev function.
I figured it was only a matter of time until you dropped in with some real knowledge. Thanks for the info!

Thanks good to know. Strange how some of that info made it into the source book. Still scratching my head at the mention of "supercharged"

Maybe this was a issue at one time and somehow this got leaked? Maybe the same could be said for the part that mentions a supercharger. What are the odds of a gt500 with a twin turbo fpc engine?

So what happened when you take it out for a crusie and someone trys to bait you into a highway pull? OK but I can only go for 8secs!!! This ain't bullriding. Guess we won't see any one these at any mile events.
Shift out of first and into second gear.

Yeah I saw that. Did you see elsewhere in the document they say they do not recommend modifying your car?

So which is it? Do you need to add the coolers or not?

Frankly I was irritated when I read those lines. Like most people I'm getting the technology package, so I won't have the track pack coolers. I've tracked my base GT with no problems, so I was fairly comfortable that a vehicle supposedly built for the track will also be fine.

Ford is hedging their bets a little too much.

However - I can say that having a feature that will warn me if temps are getting too high - that's a nice thing. Better than just finding out when the thing breaks.

Maybe if my dealer insists on an ADM I can get them to add some coolers free of charge.

It also says that if it's broken while racing, the repair won't be covered under warranty. So, if you add the coolers, it's not covered. If it's raced, it's not covered. You pay to play still soldiers right on.

I was really hoping that the R and the Track Pack would be covered under warranty in racing as long as they were left stock. That's not looking like the case though.
