Is Royal Purple Synthetic oil considered by Engineering Testing Labs to be some of the best oil made? If so, why?

I have used Royal Purple trans oil in all of my MANUAL cars including several mustangs. I don’t use any other royal purple product but the transmission fluid rocks. I have the A10 now. As far as your question I couldn’t tell you your answer but all I used was word of mouth.

If you follow the conversations over on Bobistheoilguy Royal Purple isn't the same as it was in the beginning. It was bought out/sold and since then it's had a different philosophy.

It is at least as good as super tech or kirkland oil.

Agreed. It has changed. My last manual mustang was a 1990 GT.

For what? To each his own.
Of course.

My comments are about oil threads in general and the course they end up taking.

Any oil that meets manufacturers specs will do fine. Show me an engine that failed because of oil that met those specs.

I use 100% synthetic. Only one American brand has the patent for it and is actually 100% synthetic.
