same here lol. Roush AB and CJ Pony X pipe I got on sale. Very satisfied so far
Similar situation. I actually went with SR Performance from American Muscle as it was the cheapest 409 stainless X pipe after shipping for me. Had a shop do the install, have been happy with it since.

roush x pipe
I'm pretty sure the mufflers/axleback/catback (with X pipe) are not stock. Mine doesn't sound like that, it sound like every other stock exhaust + X pipe combo. X pipes don't change sound that much based on design, they all go in the same spot (in place of the resonator), and only piping diameter and X location will change. This will not change exhaust tone much at all between the variations.

That's not a roush X pipe
Is a Roush X pipe a Roush X pipe or an FRPP X pipe?

The point being any of the currently available forum sponsor X pipes for around $100 are actually more like +$200 unless you buy aluminized steel and even then the are about $130.

Eeek....sounds OK until the revs come. X pipes are like nails across a chalkboard to me. Much prefer the H pipe!

I bought the new J&M X pipe from a sponsor (www.hotpart.com). It's 304 stainless steel. Shipping was super fast, it should be here today, and best of all it only cost $149 shipped. I'm probably going to install it later today after it arrives. Looks to be a winner. I'll post some sound clips later with my Roush Axle-Back (before and after).

Depends on the mufflers. IMHO h pipes with chambered mufflers give a nice deep muscle car like tone especially with stock headers but an X pipe with straight through mufflers gives a nice higher pitched scream at wide open especially with long tubes. Rasp is mostly a function of mufflers/resonantors not canceling out those nasty sounding frequencies.

The technology in the corsa is different then a regular 80 dollar X pipe . Corsas X pipe dosent drone on the highway like a 80 dollar one. I'm sure this roush X pipe has different technology also. I know Ford Performance is experimenting with an active midpipe and cat-back for the GT's right now. Not sure if that's what this mid-pipe is though.

X pipes don't cause drone.

Corsa's 3" double helixx X-Pipe is designed with no drone reflective sound cancellation technology. The RSC Technology allows Corsa Performance the unique ability to selectively target and eliminate resonant frequencies that cause drone, by reflecting sound waves out of phase,

I have the FRPP X-pipe and there is zero drone. Drone is caused by mufflers; X and H-pipes typically just increase volume, although they do have slightly different sound profiles.

Be that as it may X pipes themselves don't cause drone. Mufflers that dont absorb or cancel out "bad" resonant frequencies cause drone. I have a $30 X pipe on mine and long tubes and no cats but I don't have any noticeable drone because my mufflers (long bullet resonators) are doing a decent job of canceling and absorbing most drone frequencies.

I had stainless works longtubes, x pipe, and roush axlebacks. As loud as that setup was, it had absolutely zero drone. You can't tell me that my $85 x-pipe caused drone when I'm the one driving the damn thing everyday.

Only reason I added a magnaflow x-resonator is because it was pissing off my neighbors.
