Does anyone know if someone who ran 93 octane would get any additional HP from this tune? I believe the advertised results were from running 91 octane?
Good question, I was wondering that myself. I just reached out to Roush and I'll let you know what they say.

EDIT: They already got back to me and said that there is no benefit to running 93 octane on the tune.

Bummer. I guess the only way to get another 45-50HP out of these cars is to go with the Lund flex fuel/E85 tune & CAI, unless you run longtubes....I don't want to go with headers as the car is a daily driver and loud enough when you're into the throttle.

Correct. It looks like a better manifold and tune are the way to go if you don't go with headers.

I've read that a lot of the gains from different intake mani's comes from the top of the rpm range some loss in the lower and mid rpm ranges? I really would like a nice pick up in the lower and mid range more than the top because I don't take the car to drag strips....I just want some more go in the 2500-6000rpm range whenever I get the chance to do some spirited pulls on occasion. I haven't seen anyone do cams on a NA car yet, maybe that will be the ticket?

Decided to get the flash pack on my auto gt to see if power gains from the tune are as advertised. I'm in service center awaiting completion of flash pack + oil change. Will give feedback from butt dyno and then try to get some actual dyno results asap.
Eager to see these results... especially considering you are from Louisiana too!!!

Yikes $495 is steep for a warranty (partial for some) when the pack is $800. If it was from the install date that'd be ok, but most of us dont have new cars anymore.

The price should be prorated based on what your car has on it (which the mechanic/shop/dealership would have to verify) Ie. My car only had 5k miles but is 15 months old. So it should be prorated by 15 months of cost (5k/36k is less than 15months/36months ratio of the total covered) since I cannot use that part of the warranty.

I also assume it's $765 plus $495, PLUS install cost because it must be installed by a certified mechaninc like Ford Racing parts to be warrantied. 1-2 hours for install charge.

$1500-1600 for a CAI/tune? nah pass. I would just risk the warranty with a regular CAI/tune and stuff the $800 in my pocket for any potential future repair IF the dealership even voided that part of the warranty

Agreed. It's amazing that you could go buy a Rousch Stage 3 Mustang with a 670HP blower set up and get a full factory warranty from Ford but you can't get a 19HP tune without having to re up for the remaining part of your warranty....kinda halfassery if you ask me.

I wouldn't pay $500 for a few months of warranty, unless I had the money to drop on a SC setup that would truly have some added stress on the engine. Ford Racing claims their tunes are conservative and thoroughly tested. I seriously doubt a CAI and tune done right would have any adverse effect on the engine.

Just so you guys know, I believe ford's powertrain warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles. The 3 years/36,000 miles is for everything else. Don't know why roush says otherwise. I would hope its a mistake because then you're paying money to lose 2 years off the factory warranty.

495 is way too much for the warranty. It's as though they actually don't want you to buy. You can get an 8 year, 125k warranty on the whole drive train from Flood Ford in NJ for about 1800, last I looked. Granted, that's a fully factory setup...

Sorry it took a few days, work work work! Haven't been able to dyno it yet but I will try to get one for you guys as soon as work slows down. Also, I got the Flash Pack (tune) not the Power Pack (tune + CAI.) The only other work on the car is Ford Racing Xpipe and Roush Axlebacks.

So, initial impressions: The engine feels fully awake at all times now and throttle response is near instant, almost as if I had a Pedalmax installed. It definitely pulls harder through the power band and it also revs just past the redline--seems like the mustang zips around town now with me and a passenger like it used to with just me. Shift points feel different. The car feels more powerful whether in D or S, but for sure S is a totally different animal now, like the car is always mad and wanting to roast tires. Speaking of which, I'm getting more tire squealage which is always great. If I leave it in Sport Mode and punch the hell out of it from redlight to redlight my mpg drops to 10-11 which is nuts because I used to get 14-15 driving that hard. I assume that's due to the unlocked extra horsepower. I assume, because driving in D sweetly like a pansy netted me 21mpg on the same course with lots of stop and go, which is similar to what D got before the tune. The dealership told me I would feel the tune way more in S more than D.

About the warranty: my dealership is a Master Roush dealer, and does not void Ford warranties as long as the aftermarket product is Ford Racing, Ford Performance, Roush, or any company partnered with Ford, AND they are the ones who install the product. The shop manager told me not to worry about the $495 warranty and that they haven't offered it to any of their customers who got tunes. Your area dealer may be different.

tl;dr Roush tune woke my car up and now it feels angryangryangry all the time. Will get actual dyno results at a later date.
