Roush cold air intake lid

Is there any risk in running the Roush cai without the lid on?(beyond hotter iat which for me doesn’t matter right now bc it’s winter in New Jersey and ambient temperature is plenty cold) I want to run it without the lid for more turbo noise and don’t care about performance loss and no my car is not tuned. Please hit me up with any thoughts/advice, thanks.

No there's no risk, lots of people run other intakes that are more open.
