We also have a special cutout version of the intake that we tune have a special tune. That makes the intake a tune only intake so we recommend that you hold onto the stock intake. This way if you make any trips to the dealer you can take the tune off without issue.

We even have a local Ford employee that runs our Level 1 Performance Pack, and he actually cut off the grille side tip of our CAI, drilled through the same side of the grille and made like a super ram air system! It sounds INSANE!!!:headbang:

I wonder how the JLT compares. I have one and I'm liking this a little bit more because it seals all the way around. I would really like to see more results.

I don't have a tune as I am running the 85mm insert. If I was to take it out, then a tune is required.

Most likely a Lund tune in the future if they do it with this intake.
we have the roush intakes and can do a great lund tune for them as well!!!

:)

With the hood closed, the JLT's that we have tested have made the same exact line for line power as our Windstorm CAI.

When it comes to speed density intakes there are very few things that you can do blow away your competition. (No pun intended)
If all of the systems you are comparing are utilizing the same size MAF and size tubing there will be slight in output.
Most of the CAI's in the marketplace are fairly equal when compared to a like product. (105mm diameter VS 105mm diameter or stock diameter VS stock diameter for example)

Do you guys typically tune with the hood down?

This is a GT intake, not speed density like the Ecoboost. JLT tube is 110MM at the MAF for the GT.

To the OP, glad you're happy with your purchase so far! There's some good intake systems on the market, competition breeds better products!

hi youngmustang. havent received my car yet ( GT fastback black ) but from what i understand there will be no hood heat vents because of some kinda pedestrian safety thing, anyway do you know where they would have the CAI come from? thanks, tom
