I usually like roush products but I just can get into there exhaust on our car. To me it just doesn't sound like a mustang should. Just my opinion nobody take offense :D

Okay, so do the BBK Shorty headers void the warranty? If so, what warranty? Powertrain, nly exhaust components or what?
It voids the warranty of the stock manifold. That's all. Same with springs, for example. If you swap out the stock springs and the struts fail, Ford won't give you a new pair.

None taken :cool:. To me this is a departure from what the mustang was. Still very much the performance/dollar king, but much more a sports car than a muscle car. With that comes a new brand of sound for some. I for one have always liked Mustangs but never wanted to own one till the S550.

It's got a lot more of the euro 6 cylinder sound and I dig it.

Firehive,
Special request::: ;)
Besides just idle and acceleration, if you can do some standing still free revs up kind of high and back off the pedal fast to let us hear what that sounds like. Also, if you do ( I hope ;) ) a driving away acceleration, it would be awesome to include at least one time of backing off from say the top of winding second gear (with out braking), so we can hear what the exhaust sounds like with just the engine decelarating from 6,000 rpm's or so.

I sure would love to hear the above with just BBk headers and just mufflers for you other guys who have not added your second stages yet. It is a tease to hear just an idle and slow throttle to 2,500 RPM's! ;)

Thanks guys for as much sound info as you can post for us droolers!:D

EDIT: With an automatic (like I will have in a few days ;) ), when you let off an acceleration, the transmission will upshift. But if you are using the paddles w/ the V6 do we get to stay in second, third or whatever gear and have ( and hear :) ) just engine breaking? I'm guessing so.

IMO it's how a Mustang should sound. The low rpm sound is really throaty and fat. I don't think it's possible to retain that deep fat sound with the V6 as revs go up though with any exhaust just because it's a V6. But that's part of the appeal at least for me.

For sure! i'll do standing revs and a driving away acceleration :). I did do a couple of downshifts in my video from about 4k rpms. I also forgot to mention in the video that it does pop and crackle a little bit on decels especially when the car is warm :)

FireHive,
That sounds glorious - all of it. Those downshifts! That idle! It's so deep and V8-ish (especially in the 8:00 and later part of the video). Thank you so much for making the video. I can't imagine how good the interior sound will be with the addition of a CAI.

Thanks man. I'm glad you like it!. I actually had an SRT8 owner pull me over at a red light and he asked me if it was a V8. He didn't really believe me at all when i told him it was a 6 cylinder engine. Such a characteristic sound that this setup achieves.

Haha nice. I can't wait to get mine...the wait is going to kill me! Just gotta convince the better half that it's totally ok to swap exhaust parts on a new car. She gets it (mostly), she had an 02 GT and likes the noise.

Yeah. My girl actually got me the axelback as a birthday present and she fully supports the built of the car. Quite lucky imo :D

Dude GREAT vid. Thanks for pointing out the drone. I have to think about it now since I have 3.55 and my highway cruises are at 2.1k rpm.

Thanks for the reply, but what do you mean stock manifold? What could the headers mess up that the warranty would usually cover? I dont know if I worded that right, im having trouble actually typing what im wanting to ask lol.
