I just bought and received my BBK shorty headers, my dad is all over my butt about how its going to void the warranty and me being the son..im ignoring his advice. I called my dealership and it does in fact void my warranty but my question is how reliable are these cyclone engines once you put these headers on them? I use my car as a daily driver and I am scared of something going wrong and warranty not being there to cover the costs of any damage but realistically what could go wrong?
I too am interested in if it factually voids the warranty. Dealers say a lot of things w/o knowing. Has anyone heard a reliable Ford corporate response to headers and warranty? Bmac, I certainly understand 'has no reason to' and 'they have to prove' statements, but was just wondering if anyone has heard any official type words from Ford itself oh headers?

It'd be very difficult for them to say one way or the other. It would depend on the failure mode and then they would have to have evidence that that failure mode was accelerated or caused by the headers. If it were straightforward they would publish it :).

Good point. The last thing Ford would want to do is make a blanket statement that limited their opportunity to 'try' to blame a problem on an aftermarket part. I see now that if a warranty is denied because it is easiest to blame anyone but Ford, that is when you simply teel them it is their responsibility to prove it... crickets...
