I have Roush AB and an H pipe. It's not Loud at all . True it's louder in the morning on start up but not bad at all. And since installing my JLT CAI and Lund 93 tune with N Gauge it's a little more mellow at idle and when letting off the gas which bums me out a little but it's all good

My daughter told me she can hear me all the way out of the neighborhood to the highway (and coming in), so yes -- they are loud :) ... my problem with them is that around 1.5-2K rpm there is a loud drone/resonance with the top up and windows up that isn't there at other ranges (or WOT). I much prefer the sound with the top down ... which I can do in another 8 months after the rain stops in June. Lol. Still, they do have a nice muscle car type tone.

The Roush AB's are aggressive, but not "loud" imho.

Yes, they're louder than stock, but when the car is warmed up and the revs aren't hanging up around 1100rpm and drop to <900rpm, they tone down.

That being said when I first got my Roush AB's I remember them being a lot louder/aggressive than they are now (about 0.5 yrs later). An H-Pipe will change that...

Everyone has their own opinion and that is OK. I'm an old guy and in my opinion the Roush AB's are not nearly as obnoxious as a Harley or a pickup truck with straight pipes. As others have said, the system is loud when you want it to be but if you take it easy on the throttle it is fine. Deeper in tone and just a little louder than stock. Mine is a daily driver too.

Same lesson here. Just installed my roush axle back with resonator x pipe delete. My second day having this set up and neighbors are pissed... Going to but the resonators back on tomorrow.. I love the sounds with the x pipe but I have a feeling it will become a big problem considering I leave at 6am every morning..

Not according to the Roush and Ford racing install PDF's. You cut in exactly the same place. If you were to cut 2" farther in you could never make a proper connection.
I have heard the Touring version and it has a nice deep tone and is much quieter then the Roush plus they are 50 state legal legal. Even the sport is 49 state legal. All that Roush would tell me is theirs is aggressive, they don't measure noise levels and check with law enforcement.
Edit: corrected, good luck with the new exhaust.

I think it also makes a big difference if your Mustang is a daily driver or an occasional summer toy kinda vehicle. Starting up every day or two or three times a day... Ya, that might get annoying to the neighbours. Starting it once or twice a week, much less so.

NO! It is called respect for the law and people in your neighborhood along with anyone else annoyed by loud vehicles.
which you can do with ANY catback and axle back on this car lol.... keep your foot out of it and don't run it in 1st or 2nd gear. Your neighbors don't pay the payments but you can certainly get around the neighborhood without making noise.

I live in a VERY densely populated area where my driveway is surrounded by apartment buildings and backyards. I've yet to have a single person complain about my roush + h-pipe, whether it be regarding the car on cold starts or from driving around the neighborhood.

I agree with others who stated you can control the volume for the most part. My exhaust is most definitely loud, but it's not earth shattering.

Don't rev it out, and your car is quiet. Yes, the car is loud on cold starts, but it's not THAT loud, regardless of exhaust. I can appreciate the fact not to annoy neighbors, but unless you're running LT headers or revving it in your driveway, you shouldn't have a problem. Hell, the UPS truck makes more noise than my car driving through neighborhood.

Also, loud exhausts aren't for everyone, I understand that too. I love mine (Borla SType catback), but if I have a headache, it's not the most fun thing to drive at highway speeds.

I just installed the Roush axle back system on my car last week. It's a crap shoot when you listen to sound clips on YouTube prior to purchasing. The Roush is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Aggressive when you want it to be and not much louder than stock the rest of the time. I get a lot of compliments on the sound. If this is to loud then you should stick with the stock system in my opinion.
