With this Covid 19 crap I ain’t waiting around for a warranty to expire. I just went the buy once, cry once route...Whipple competition Stage 2 large HE, 3.625 pulley, 1050X’s, Fore dual pump fuel system, Stainless Works headers, Lund E85 Dyno tune, VMS drag pack/MT ET R’s.

I really think a Whipple stage 2, 3.625 pulley, wheels and tires, and a custom cal would pretty easily hit 9’s at 140 on unleaded race gas or a healthy dose of octane booster. E85 is bottom 9’s at mid/high 140’s.

IAT2 will more than likely get real hot but prepare to put a Fore Fuel System in it along with an ice tank to run in the 9’s

Much easier to do it with a Whipple or Edelbrock set on kill

The 2.65 TVS blower used on the Roush is very capable of 9s. However, Roush uses a smaller throttle body than the stage 2 EB or Whipple. Also, as Stymee pointed out, the design of the Roush system is more prone to heat soak. With a fuel system, E85, an ice tank and a good tune 9s are possible with the Roush but it would be easier to accomplish with EB or Whipple.

If your goals are big big power the other options like VMP, Whipple, Edelbrock, etc and custom tune get you there cheaper and easier. Roush is the best streetcar setup for durability, safety, warranty, canned tune, etc.

Personally I would go with VMP Odin Kit if the Roush doesn’t work for you. My past experience with them has been great and they put out some powerful stuff and not push it to the ragged edge.
