I've taken mine on several 10+ hr, 500+ mile each way trips, only issue you'll run into is passing everything but a gas station.

I don't have a boosted GT but I do have a Hellcat. I've taken trips of 500 miles and got 25ish MPG. I would guess the GT's would be not different.

If you have a boost gauge, stay at the bottom of the boost in cruise. Try to cruise without boost. Otherwise, it's fuel flow city.

You can cruise without boost in a turbocharged unit, but not in a supercharged unit. In the S/C unit, you can cruise at the bottom of the boost pressure, though.

Most boosted cars cruise at 65 mph at or under 2,000 rpm. That SHOULD be a low-boost area, especially if it's actually less than 2,000 rpm ... say 1,850 or so.

If your S/C can't take a cruise, you got a bad unit. They don't get a lot of wear if you stay off heavy boost.

Ok, this actually helps answer my question, I wasn’t really worried about mileage or mpg, I was more worried about any sort of damage to the s/c unit or any drastic wear and tear for a long trip. Going with Paxton btw

If you set the cruise control. You shouldn't see any boost. These head units are built to handle 50,000 rpms. If they can’t handle idle speeds. They shouldn’t be on the car. I have a Paxton. It drives exactly like stock. Til you dip into the throttle.

I've got a Whipple on my '18, and have taken it on a few long road trips, with the longest being from Texas to Canada. No issues whatsoever. Driving around town, I get 11-13mpg mostly because I like the gas pedal, but on the highway I just put it on cruise between 80 and 85 and I get in the mid '20s for mpg.

Hardest thing is finding 93 octane in small towns or the midwest if your tune requires that. You probably wont hurt anything if you stay off boost, but thats kinda hard to do 100% of the time. One a long time ago I limped a turbod Miata from middle Texas to western Colorado to get it tuned at the mothership, limped up there over two days and hooned it all the way home.

I have driven my '15 Roush Stage 3 from Louisville, KY to Daytona Beach, FL (and back) about a half a dozen times, so long distance isn't a problem. As another poster said...you're not going to pass many gas stations.

When I was at 700whp with my whipple I took the family, wife and 2 kids, in the Mustang on a 7000KM road trip from Canada to San Diego, up the coast back through Reno and home. Zero issues!

I daily my car, and I can’t go a day without boost. Just sayin’.... You have amazing self control. However, I think Bo would be disappointed with you.
