Yet, an easy train/car/bus ride to Indiana only 15 miles away and you can circumvent the best intentions.Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the Country. When the criminals know the law abiding are unarmed they take advantage.
That is what the CRIMINALS do.Yet, an easy train/car/bus ride to Indiana only 15 miles away and you can circumvent the best intentions.
Flame throwers , melt the nose of their car.that's where i miss my turbo diesel jetta. when someone would tailgate me, i'd floor it and leave them in black soot like the middle of your chimney.
glad you came out okay here...
Sad situationFire arms and people are viewed as madness here in Oz i can't remember the last time i heard someone pulling a gun on someone in a car.
Gun crime here is normally drive by shootings by drug dealers warning other dealers etc.
The thought of the public having ownership of firearms and carrying them is a whole new level of anxiety.
Respect your "Right" to say THAT . But We will have to agree to "DISAGREE" on your statement of " YOU have STRONG beliefs in protecting "INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS" ......What about the "RIGHT TO DEFEND " yourself ...?? Rocks and sticks went out of style a "Few Years Ago" .. I agree Canadians may "Resemble" us ....But WE are a little more prettier "I can agree with a lot of this except that our government in Canada (provincial, federal, and judiciary) no more deems the rights that are good enough for us than yours does the same for you (state, federal, and judiciary).
We’re also a great deal more like Americans than you suggest in many things, including our own very strong belief in protecting individual rights.
In fact, there are no people on earth who resemble Americans more than Canadians.
If Chicago would rid themselves of that "IDIOT MAYOR" they have , Life might take a turn for the best.....Were the "VOTER's" Blind AND DRUNK when they voted for "HER" . Never seen such a moron in my life . ...JunqdawgChicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the Country. When the criminals know the law abiding are unarmed they take advantage.
How is any of that even slightly related to the right to bear arms? Lol. False equivalency is an annoying card to play, obviously you aren't going to use your guns to defeat a major military power, or shoot planes out of the sky.
"Guns didn't help you in these rare and specific cases, so what good are they?" Is just silly.
Also, sorry to deflate your earlier point, but most gun violence in America boils down to gang warfare and suicides. The intended usage case of guns barely registers on the statistics. Canada is a lot more homogeneous so gang warfare isn't nearly as prominent.
At the end of the day, having the right to defend your home with effective tools is a pretty nice right to have. We can debate the sensibilities of carrying a gun around with you in public, but when it comes to my property, I'd rather not have to wait for the police.
To MR Bullitt .........You Keep on believing that during your "I HOPE NOT" HOME INVASION ......I prefer 9 MIM. to {911} . Guess it's just my wicked Texan Personality of being prepared rather than "I HOPE IT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME "Fire arms and people are viewed as madness here in Oz i can't remember the last time i heard someone pulling a gun on someone in a car.

Isn't the correct response, " I have a b/f! "I’m sure she liked it. If she didn’t then she’s lame.
How many rapes, robberies, assaults and car jackings in Canada, you ask?
Generally speaking, about the same or fewer than in your country.
If you want to talk about gun ownership as a matter of choice, regardless of the societal costs, fine: at least that’s honest.
Saying gun ownership makes society safer, though, is not, as there are no credible data to support the assertion.
The reality is this: when it comes to gun violence, the United States is - by far - the most dangerous country among the advanced industrialized countries in the world.
By far.
Also, as we in Canada have our own history and laws, we’ve never had the misfortune of having included anything like the curious legal anomaly and 18th century artifact you call a “second amendment” in our own constitution - thank God! - so we never developed any kind of mass fetish about guns that came to be perceived as an inalienable right, in any way, let alone one that was “taken away” from us by by any of our governments, be they Liberal or Conservative.

Johnny Bravo had the perfect answer to this.Isn't the correct response, " I have a b/f! "
Girl: "OK, but no crossing swords. He totally hates that!"Johnny Bravo had the perfect answer to this.
Girl: "How many times do I have to tell you, I have a boyfriend!!!"
JB: "Well, you look like the kind of girl who could use two."
Or you can turn your lights on, the back lights being on will instantly look like tail lights for a second. Just switch on and off at random, meanwhile you're not actually breaking. So easy...when getting tailgated i slightly lay one foot on brakes just enough for brake lights and then floor it ....they hit brakes when they see lights and I accelerate creating a nice gap....do that a few times in a row and they will back off
