Sorry to hear man. I drove back yesterday from Xenia back to West Chester on a fairly worn RE-71Rs (which are pretty horrible in the rain of this magnitude) and it was pretty sketchy drive...
My old job was over there. Some crazy roads there, too. Glad you made it okay. I had the summer PP tires on, which were garbage to begin with. Only really great in very particular circumstances.

Guess what ad popped up at the bottom of this thread?

Allstate... "Your rates won't go up just because of a claim."

Selective advertising at its best! Glad you are okay dude, but holy knights of Columbus that car is jacked up.

Glad your ok...could have been a ton worse!

I would say totaled...my first thought from the pictures was the body is bent straight away.

Good luck

Glad you're ok, but curious how much tread was left on your tires. Been thinking about putting a set of takeoff PP wheels/tires on my vert but not if they can't handle rain puddles.

They can very easily handle puddles. They just don't last long, maybe 8k-12k miles.

No ideas on my next car. Several ideas, but nothing solidified. I’ve even though about getting a fully loaded 2017 (mine was just a PP). I haven’t decided. The insurance thing has taken up majority of my day, and it’s a huge huge headache.

Yep, they said mine needed to be replaced, mine was maybe 7500 miles. The back went very, very quickly.

Mine would've been unsafe in the rain after 4K miles. I have 7500 now and am about to replace them. I've never had the car in the rain otherwise they'd have been replaced several thousand miles ago.

Glad you're safe. No way I'd accept that car back after being "repaired". I don't think you'll have to put up a fight with insurance to get it written off based on the pics.

Wow. That sucks buddy. Glad to hear you will be ok. It only took one rainstorm for me to replace those pirellis but to be fair they probably only had 25% left. I just never felt comfortable with them. Are you going to replace it with same thing?

I definitely got lucky. Mild concussion. Strains. Bruises. Hurts like hell. Reminds me of my football days.

Despite my tears lost for my car, and the incredible 12000 miles I put on her, and her saving my life, not sure I’ll go back. As a car enthusiast my wants are usually ever exceeding. If it is totaled, it would be enough to free me from negative equity on my previous. We will see.
I feel ya on the tears. I wrecked my Silverado I had for 5 years back 2.5 years ago. I couldn't wait to get a new truck for several months prior but wjen it came down to it and my truck was destroyed on side of interstate I felt a sense of sadness.

For a certain percentage of us vehicles become a part of us. I even felt a little sad, almost a sense of betrayal, when I traded my tundra for my mustang.
