My right turn signal hyper flash inside, outside the outside last lens will not lite up but the other 2 do. I did a search on this forum and tried the reset of the BCM which would not reset that way with the brite light switch etc. I disconnected the + cable from battery and charged battery until it was barely pulling 1 amp. Still no joy.
What do I do next?

How does the left turn signal look, in comparison to the right?

How do the front turn signals appear, left and right?

How does the dash display the turn signals, left and right?

Any recent changes or mods to the car?

Any other weirdness going on?

There is not only an external BCM for the rear tails, but within the taillight assembly itself there’s electronics that control the LEDs.

If the vehicle is out of warranty or the part won’t be repaired under warranty provisions - the 2015-2017 rear taillights can be had for $300-$500 for a pair on this site in the classifieds section OR expect to pay about $150-$300 per light depending on who’s selling and on what platform. Also you can look these up on eBay - there’s a TON of them for sale ranging anywhere from $150 each upwards of the Ford retail of $800-$900+.

Don’t pay retail for any S550 rear taillight....

This thread may help you out, as I have never messed with Forscan (yet). The post is from a guy in Switzerland, but it sheds some really good info on the BCM and tail wiring.

This thread is from a guy in Germany, but the responses shed more light on the association of the taillight to the BCM.

Have you checked the front turn signal / running light bulb yet? I had a very similar occurrence in my 16 and it turned out to be the front turn signal was burned out. The running light worked but the signal did not. Once replaced it solved my rear taillight issue. I don't know why but this is an easy check and a cheap fix if the bulb is bad.

The front are fine left rear is fine the only affected light is right rear. Brake and taillights are fine. What happened is I left my light switch on over night in the morning it started fine but the right rear outter turn signal would not flash
