My OCD is really kicking in on the OEM puddle lights. I believe the stang always facing left is, according to Ford, meant to represent freedom of sprit, or summat like that. Yet only one side of the puddle lights actually face left (passenger side in UK and driver side in US) the other side, the horse will face right.

I know the locating tabs etc will be set up for LHS or RHS applications, but is it possible to flip the actual projector bit or mount a Left pointing light to the RHS side mirror?

Has anyone done this?

Or is it just me being too anal? 🤣🤣🤣

So ...

How are you going to deal with the logos in the headlights ... ?

(Sorry if you didn't know about them ...)

WD :like:
Good point. I had forgot about them and yes, they do annoy me as well, but they are not as obvious when getting in the car 🤣

The first time I seen it when I opened the passenger side door for my wife I didn't like it. It should be facing left. it looks backwards to me.

It's not an American flag which is always to be displayed with the stars forward on shoulder patches

I guess the OCD can manifest itself in different ways, because although I am OC myself, I happen to like the way it is. I like that they're both facing in the same direction. If one of them faced forward and the other one backward, it would drive me nuts.
Besides, it would look awkward if the pony and the car faced opposite ways. The pony is the symbol of the car, it represents the car itself, so it should move with the car, not against it.

@MSheets hit on the reason actually. The American(er...U.S.) flag when applied to a car is to be displayed as if the flag pole is on the windward side with the stripes fluttering toward the rear of the car.
While the Mustang normally is to be displayed with it running "West", the symbolism on the sides of the Mustang is that the horse (er...pony) runs into the wind.

I like that concept of running into the wind. šŸ‘

My car has a reverse gear so I don’t mind if they face both ways since there are always eyes on where I’m going.

I know what would solve the whole thing. Replace the Pony puddle lamp with any of these GT, GT/CS, Mach 1, GT350, or GT500. Then it becomes a moot point.
