It'll never cease to amaze me how a company or manufacturer can take something they did right, and just make it worse.

Do you have to wait for it to fail to get it replaced or does it only require that your VIN come up?

You shouldn't have to wait for it to fail. I called my dealership and got an appointment scheduled for February 24th to have them do the work.

Please update on what exactly did they do in order to fix it.

Absolutely will do. They offered me a loaner and I declined, said I'd be there in the dealership while they worked. If they let me, I'll be sitting out there with the technician and taking notes.

My alert just popped up on Ford Pass today. I have no issues with mine...yet. I will likely wait a bit before scheduling the replacement as I anticipate scheduling my 1st service call for late March or early April. My Shelby will just approach 1 year old and 2K miles at that time. I also like to hear from other what the replacement experience turns out to be...hopefully routine.

Someone with an eligible VIN can pull the entire document from the Ford website and post it here. I’ll ensure it gets posted in the Basics sticky.

I'm on Ford owners web logged in with my user access. I can see the recall. But can't see the details document.

Huh, I did it once a couple of years ago. I’ll look into it a bit later.

Maybe the OP can get the full doc he posted??
