Reverse Beep weirdness...

On Occasion, with no real pattern, will sometimes NOT beep at the rear of the interior, and will instead beep from either the center stack (screen/hvac area) or the instrument cluster - never any of these three places at the same time, and, again, no real clear understandable reason why.

Anyone have any thoughts on this, why this happens?

Mine had that happened before.
I had one time the dash would beep at me when I open the door and engine running and its coming from the dash.

Ha. And I thought it was just me. Yep, mine has done that as well. Very strange. It always works as advertised but on rare occasions, I don't get the normal semi-loud beeping from the rear speakers. I get it from the dash area instead.

I haven't really looked into it because it really hasn't been a big issue but it would be interesting to find out what could be causing that to happen. For me it's pretty rare. If I were to put a number on it, I would say 1 out of every...30 times or so my beeping comes from the dash.

I swear the first couple times I thought I was freaking crazy. Like something was wrong with my ears and I had been hearing it wrong all along.

It has happened to me a few times as well. I assumed it was because I quickly put it in reverse before the sound system had fully booted up.

Same here. Not sure the cause.

Technically this can be caused when the audio driver not being loaded by the head unit (whatever it was: Sync or MFT or Sync 3)
So if it always happens to you guys I'd check my head unit connections first.
And as a proof just unplug all the connections to the head unit and you'll see that all the beeps will come from the cluster.

It happened once to me. I thought it was my imagination.

Just a restart of the car and it's solved, happened a couple times to me as well. Mostly happened when starting the car and drive off immediately, like X0AYHAM0X say's it has something to do with the drivers not being loaded yet and they won't until you restart the car.

I thought it was something I did during my stereo install. After I put in my new rear speakers I've only had the beep from the dash. It's never come though the back since the install. Kind of pissed because the laterality of the sound is gone.
