You’re running the KMP 1500 system on E85 @ 900 whp? I want to run 950-1000 whp with a single turbo and when I reached out to KPM to inquire about it, here’s what they told me:

1100rwhp on E85 equates to approximately 1300-1350 fwhp on E85.

All our KPM Fuel Systems are rated ot the flywheel on 93 Pump Fuel.
To achieve the same power level on E85 you require 30% to 40% more fuel supply.

1100 WHP E85 = 1350 FWHP
1350 FWHP plus 30%-40% = KPM Fuel System 1755 - 1890
The KPM1500 Module , even with a voltage booster would not support this level. correctly

You would require our KPM2200 or KPM2700 HP system to properly support your power level.

Both these kits come with Twin direct fit Fuel Modules, KPM PWM Fuel Controller, 9/16 stainless steel direct fit Mustang specific fuel line and Fuel Filter, Complete direct fit wiring.

KPM 2700HP FUEL AND PWM SYSTEM (S550 MUSTANG GT 2015-23) | KPM Fuel Systems

Please be sure to reach out on any further clarification or questions.

David suggested going with the 2200 upgrade but, Wengerd said after reviewing my data logs he sees no issue with my moving to 16lbs boost from my current 14lbs boost. But: I told David I will tap and run a wire from the two Bosh 540 high output fuel pumps voltage input wire and run to a voltage gauge. I will dyno prior to Spring and monitor the actual fuel pump voltage and cross reference to see what level the pumps operational demand are at with WOT runs.

Good Morning John.
- Front: 19x10.5, 5x114.3, 30mm-70.5 CM.
- Rear: 19x11.5, 5x114.3, 56mm-70.5 CB.
Now: since the Toyo R888R 325/30/19 are like 12.3 inches wide. The top inside tire to the magneride strut top mount was about .180 clearance but never touched. I since then replaced my magneride rear shock upper mounts which increased the clearance to over .500.
** I do plan on installing the new Hoosier Track Attack Pro tires on all four this spring. I am upping my boost to 16lbs which will give me around 900whp at 7600rpm.
** I am also installing a Smoothboost controller so I can adjust my boost level lower when not playing hard.
** I am installing a Inovators West 8 rib 10%OD crank dampner to us with my 6 rib belt.
** I am installing 10mm FI Interchiller thermal spacers between the whipple and heads.
?? I was contemplating replacing my OEM water pump with a "high flow" water pump. Still researching that one. Take care
Wow Doug you don’t muck around plenty more mods for you I see and thank you for your rim information. So your front 10.5 inch wide rim has a +30 mm offset I take it this is a small number to clear the inner suspension but don’t you get a lot of poke with normal GT guards? The track attack Hoosiers sound like an awesome street tyre hope it has the same or better grip than the Toyo.

Oh okay. Did Wengerd happen to mention what your injector duty cycle looked like at 14lbs of boost? What’s 16lbs look like power-wise (1000+ on E85)? Also, I remember reading about the warm start issue you had, do you think that was an episode of vapor lock? Has it happened again since?

Great idea btw to monitor pump voltage. I’m still a ways off from purchasing a fuel system, but need to educate myself on what makes the most sense for me to do. Is the KPM module that comes with their kit the same as a BAP? I already have a JMS BAP on the car and don’t want to purchase another if there's no need to. Thanks

I’ll be switching to a Holly Lo-Ram aluminum intake manifold which comes with new rails and was considering adding something like this to stave off any potential vapor lock.

My injectors DC was 62 with at 14lbs, 7300rpm. As far as the warm start I will remove my inline check valve I installed and mount the fuel pressure gauge inside for me to monitor. And since I am installing thermal spacers and a heat blanket on the bottom side of the whipple, I will also put a heat shield under my rails. Then in the spring I will know if that took care of the restart after the car sat for 15-20 minutes. Since the engine starts and then stalls like it is rich. See when I shut my engine off, my IAT2 would be around 70°f. But when I do the restart I noticed my IAT2 was 135°f.

I gotcha. which thermal spacers and heat blanket will you be using? Are they exclusive to the Wnipple?

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the KPM fuel pump basket suction nipple 3.07MM smaller in diameter than the nipple on the factory basket? I wonder why KPM didn’t add a larger nipple to the basket when it was produced, unless it’s a universal basket?

The spacers are intake to head so they should work on any 5.0 intake but I would check with FI. The top feed line stays the same. The bottom transfer nipple is smaller and so they add a new EFI quick connect.

Sorry about all of the questions, but I’m seriously considering a KPM setup as well.

I’ve read where 1000+ whp needs 5/8 or -10AN line, but if Wengerd say’s you’re looking good with -8AN and injector duty cycle is only at 62, then you have a little more overhead for upping your boost as you plan to do. As for me, I’ll probably have to upgrade my line again anyway because I feel it may be too small in diameter. I recently removed the entire factory line and ran new 3/8 rubber line that is E85 compatible.

Cant wait to hear how the system works for you at full tilt next spring.

Your single turbo will be much more efficient with fuel than a whipple car. probably Some where around 150 to 200hp more efficient.

Remember ... all those line sizing recommendations for a specific horsepower range are based on carbureted fuel systems with a return line, which, will always be much larger than what's needed for a fuel injection system.

I’m no expert when it comes to the fueling stuff, but I’m trying my best to find out as much as I can.

Kinda hard to learn when some companies quote irrelevant information. NOT saying KMP is quoting irrelevant info mind you.

All I know is I want to have enough fuel and to do it right.

Their are plenty of choices including a return style if you decide. Good Luck.
