my dealer is providing free oil changes for the first year and 39.99 for every 2 oil changes (buy one get one) after. 8 quarts motorcraft syn blend and motorcraft filter

this is when i captured this footage. the footage in the service bay was not interesting so i didnt bother uploading any of it.

lol, that video never gets old... Its actually really awesome

lord knows what i'll capture during my next oil change. maybe the tech that pulled it out noticed the cameras when he had to back up out of the service bay.

I worked a dealer and the techs were nothing but professional.

I understand there are some shitty dealers out there, but there are also some good ones.

Ill take it to the dealer for normal servicing and warranty related items. I would do my oil changes myself, but I don't have the time or the space to comfortably work on it. Plus i like having official documentation for all servicing.

Would only take mine for warranty issues. Although I can't work on my car myself due to limited space and time, there's only one shop in the city that I'd take my car to for everything else. I've seen their work and heard of them from all over and outside of the city.

So tired of dealership and people there being attacked that we're so stupid wonder how we get out of bed.....You know can say same crap about others in there field too. One guy or 1 video somehow puts us all under the bus. That guy in video above didn't hurt the car plus how many of us have done this

I take mine in for normal maintenance because I bought the maintenance package. It's much cheaper than me doing all of it over the next 6 years. I also will take it in for any warranty work.

Interesting to see the dealers have a bad reputation in the USA. We generally think of customer service being much better over there.

In the UK, unfortunately, in my experience, it's not just the odd one or two dealers that are lousy, it gets to the point where you feel you can expect to be lied to or get your car damged every f**king time you set foot in a main dealership.

Got a string of tales but the last main dealer I went to (BMW last month), cracked the windshield prizing out a trim panel, but then claimed "it was like that when it came in"!

anytime you have to hand the keys over to someone else, there's always a risk.

that's why i try to only use reputable service people whenever i get something done.

for over 10 years, i had a trusted independent bmw mechanic.

after that, ive had a trusted subaru tuning shop do all my installs/maintenance.

unfortunately, now, i don't know of any trusted ford shops, and the next best thing i can do is bring it to the most reputable servicing dealer in the area.

^This, got the FMPP too !
I will double check my car before dropping her off, and after, but I dont wanna be that guy, like the one who once wrote he only took his car out of his garage for a drive, would never park anywhere, then bring it back to his garage...
I mean it's a beautiful car, but it's what it is... A CAR

My dealership hasn't done anything stupid yet but I have a local shop that is terrific and I take it to them for anything I can't do myself and obviously warranty stuff. My dealership also gave me a terrific deal on my windshield replacement and the result was a quieter cabin than the factory windshield.

In the past I have obviously had some other less than adequate service jobs (Honda techs are morons and think their customers are even bigger ones) but I agree with some comments above all the animosity towards all dealers needs to be aimed at the bad few instead.
