I cant believe that know one can make a delete pipe up that you just cut out the factory resonators out and you clamp in a new delete pipe.

I wonder if there is difference in sound between the Corsa xpipe vs having stainless sections welded in.

Really nice clean setup but , you do need to make 2 cuts bud.
Ahh, you're right. THe initial article I found said there was no cutting. Did not open the instructions to read through them :headbonk:

HMm.. Seems very pricey for still having to cut the exhaust. Unless there are other benefits, not sure how it's much of a value unless you just really, really like DIY.

I think it looks cleaner and possibly have slight less raspiness to the setup as opossed to cutting in a straight picece of pipe.

I believe Corsa sells an xpipe that does that.
I saw that but it does change the sound. I I looking for something that keeps the stock sound just more of it. I would also like a better x in the pipe

Technically 4 cuts.
Providing we're talking about the Corsa XPipe, I believe it may be only two cuts, which would take place behind the resonators. In front of the resonators, the factory xpipe looks like it has a joint clamp.

Maybe you two are talking past each other and I'm not understanding the nuance of before/after x pipe, but it absolutely has clamps holding the x pipe section to the front of the vehicle.

I cut out and welded replacements myself for the resonators on my vehicle and can attest to it.
I'm still undecided between removing the resonators and replacing it with a piece of straight stainless pipe or to install the Corsa Xpip.
How do you like the sound without the resonators? Any drone or added vibrations?
Thanks,
Rob

Me: Does this truly increase performance, or just sound? How does it compare to the standard R sound (or welding straight pipes in place of the resonators)?

CORSA: The performance over the R Exhaust won't be dramatic but the scavenging properties of the 2 Xs will have similar results to our other Double X-Pipes products.
Compared to cut and weld on the non-R, we're the superior sound by far.
If it helps, I asked Corsa about performance and this was their response. If you're cutting factory exhaust already, I am not sure the value. They claim a superior sound. I did a few side-by-side videos today and it does seem to be a tiny bit less raspy and more subdued - so some like might that. Of course, it's to really tell without the same car in the conditions using the different exhausts.

For me, I think I'll have straight pipes welded in. Cutting the exhaust either way and the 3in diameter pipe shouldn't help if you're still limited by 2.5in exhaust tips anyways.
