Loving the 2021 GT500, but honestly a little underwhelmed on the exhaust note. Curious if others have done the resonator delete, and if so, opinions on the changes in the exhaust note. Looks like Lethal Performance makes a great resonator delete. Anyone gone that direction?

Also, thoughts on changes in muffler or cat back exhaust? I actually like the larger stock tips on the GT500 and don't want to change those, but maybe a muffler swap to a Borla or other comparable brand?

Appreciate the input.

I like the stock sound quite a bit but I am considering the res delete. Interested to hear what folks have to say.

Hey Steve! Honestly, I don't blame you. So many different directions you can go. Frankly, I advise customers to start with a res delete and work from there if the want for more sound comes about ( which I'm sure it will LOL ) however, couple of our guys Tom@Lethal & @Stephen@lethal are running both variations and love it! Outside of that, you can also do the axleback option later on. Feel free to reach out, we have sound clips and all to help the decision. Plenty ready to go as well.

As Jake said above, I’ve run both setups on my car and I’ll link the video below. Both setups def increase the volume and tone on the car with the biggest difference being the deeper tone from the H delete. It’s hard to say which one is my favorite but the H pipe i think set the car apart more. #TeamLethal

What axle back systems are available? Did you mean “cat back”?

So, the res delete eliminates the factory mid-pipe. It retains the factory axle-back. For example, we have an adapter to make the Corsa axle-backs that bolt up to the GT's fit the GT500 :)

Well poo, I love Corsa sound but hate that they made the tips 4” instead of 5”. Like my wife always says, I need that extra inch.

So I had the H-pipe installed by my local Ford dealer - with whom I have confidence - however, they did not re-install the heat shield. Before I call them on this, I'm curious, what are the down sides to not having the heat shield reinstalled?

And - the H-pipe resonator delete sounds excellent.
