Replacing PP Tires

[cop on my back]

So the previous owner of my car managed to burn most of the rubber off the rears in only 4000kms so it is time to replace them. Go figure, fronts seem ok.

I plan to road race this car and autocross so looking for something good for track but won't dissapear on the street. I had very good luck with Nitto Invos in my 05 GT over the years and would like the same but they don't make them in the factory sizes.

Would like to hear what other people that performance drive have installed on the factory 19" PP wheels.

Depends on your budget. Conti DWS are great tires as well and I am running those.

How do the BF G-Force Sport Comp-2 compare to the PSS and the Conti DWS? I too will be looking for a performance tire that won't disappear on the street.

The continental DW is is the summer tire, and the DWS is all season, Just a heads up!

Those are the 3 I've been looking at.

I only own PSS, and haven't tried the others. but I will say this:

DWS is all season, with a higher tread wear than PSS.

Never seen BF G-Force mentioned ever.

I don't think either of them hold a candle to the PSS. the next step up from PSS is the sport cup 2s, but they will "disappear on the street". probably last longer than p-zero, but its a ultimate track tire.

Depends on your budget, but if you have the money, get Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I ran my first set for 18,000 miles and they still easily had 5,000 miles left in them when I replaced them.

I'm sorry for the mix up, I meant to say the Conti DW, I'm looking for a summer tire and the 3 I've been eyeing are:

Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Conti DW, and BFG G-Force Sport Comp-2

NOTE: Just saw a thread about Sumitomo HRZ III saying that they are a great bang for your buck tire, so I might take a look at those as well! Hopefully I don't need to make this decision anytime soon haha too many options!

I ran these sumitomos on one of my s2000's and they are a great tire. I will likely pick them up.

Are you really meaning the all season Conti's? I ran those for about 5 hours, and had to take them back and get the DW (Summer tire).
The sidewall on the DWS was almost dangerously soft for our heavy cars.

I mostly liked my Conti DW tires for the first 8k miles back when I had them in 2012, after that they got very noisy. The initial turn-in response on the Conti DW's seemed a little soft to me too, but after switching to Michelin Pilot Super Sports, my opinion of all previous tires changed.

Yes I am , I have put them on stangs and camaros and other vehicles as well. never heard a complaint this is the first case im hearing of someone not liking them.
