This is what I'm running now on the stock GTPP rims. About 1k miles so far

I don't performance drive or track, but on the street I haven't noticed anything negative. I've pulled .85G accel while rolling so seems to be fine.

Lots of people will not recommend running different types of tires, but I think the tread patterns at the very least aren't clashing.

With that being said, I still drive my car knowing the Pzeros are present in the front, so there is caution used.

Your question in general will most likely spark controversy, however ive provided you real world data in the current platform with the exact setup you're seeking. Others will most likely be armchair racers at this point.

The issue will be both the tread pattern and maybe more importantly, the differences between the rubber compounds. Both tires compounds and wet & dry grip are significantly different, so when pushing the limits, front & back will break free at different times, and also give different feedback before they break free.

Makes it a lot tougher to read the car if you have to "feel" different front from back feedback.

If you never push the car, then it won't be as big a deal. But if you like to push it, or if you have an emergency, the car may react a lot differently than you were anticipating.

Having tires with different grip on the front and back will give you bad results at the limit (cornering and/or braking)

With the sticky tires up front you've got a car which could oversteer spin quite suddenly at the limit, and which may swap ends under ABS braking. With the sticky tires in back the car will probably just oversteer badly at the limit. By using two completely different tires, they may be pretty unpredictable as to which end has the most grip depending on the conditions.

It's much safer to replace all 4 unless you are not planning on ever going above 80% of the traction of the weakest tires, and don't expect the car to behave well during any unforeseen emergency maneuvers.

My fronts are about half their life and my rear PZeros are nearly shot, so I'm in the same boat. I'll either buy a set of PZeros for the rear to last until the fronts are done, or I'll bite the bullet and throw out two basically perfectly serviceable front tires and replace all 4. Probably the latter.

Having different grip levels between tires is a problem but its worse than already mentioned because different tires grip levels change differently as temperatures change. So the differences won't even necessarily be the same at one temperature as they were at another. Very bad idea to mix tire models. Even if you plan to always take it easy (why have a sports car?) circumstances might not always let you.

Could those with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires please share their opinions on these tires? What makes them the best? The best traction wet and dry? Best comfort, road noise, etc? Just curious!

Thanks
I just replaced my Pzeros for MPSS in the rear. Night and day difference. Wet traction is far superior to the p zeros. Its almost disappointing as I enjoyed the occasional side ways action I got with the factory tires in the rain. These tires grip incredibly well. I don't notice any difference in comfort or noise as I have roush with an x pipe lol. Only thing I don't know is launch grip. I simply have no interest in drag racing.

On a side note, I still have P-zero's up front. I have not seen any issue with running different sets of tires. IMHO its an ocd thing for most ppl. Unless you're tracking the car hard, you simply won't see the issues everyone is referring to. Most don't even push their cars anywhere near the limits of these cars even under an emergency situation.
