I had posted early this year on other HP splitter options. Before I go to a replacement - I have now pulled the splitter - and the "underpan". I did find about 2 feet of cracking along the front edge of this underpan once I removed it. After researching the plastic type used for this underpan - I did find a special adhesive (Maven MMA3005 - Methacrylate adhesive) to repair all of the cracks to the underpan. Now my focus is the factory HP splitter. I think this adhesive will also work on this material to fix the broken/scuffed area (small crack and hole). Has anyone attempted to paint this factory HP splitter - if so any "rattle can" you would recommend? If it's an 'expensive' rattle can - that's ok because if I get a short term repair in place - it may get me thru my 1st season of ownership for less $ then a new splitter.

Are you referring to the HP splitter or the belly pan that you need to repair?

I bought a new belly pan from my local dealer because the previous owner had hit something and busted out a 4" chunk of it. They are quite large so it can't be shipped to a residence.

I now have the belly pan (undertray as I called it) repaired. I did not have any holes luckily. Now I want to try the same repair to the HP Splitter. If I make this repair - I am probably going to have to repaint it black to try and hide the repair. This special epoxy is black - but not really the same color or "dullness" - so repainting may be needed.

Please post updates, these HP parts are too expensive to be considered disposable plastic aero aids you can just pitch in the trash every time they're damaged.

The closest rattle can I used as test sprays were Duplicolor BFM 0360 which is their match for 5FM6 from Autozone, this is VERY close to a match, I'm sure many people would be satisfied with it, I'm just not skilled enough to do this type of job on my own. Here is a spray out over a gloss back folder compared to the stock wing for color comparison.

Here is my thread on a professional repaint of the HP spoiler I bought.

Now there has been big back and forth in determining the color for the wing. When I removed the existing stock spoiler there was a yellow sticker underneath it that says 5FM6, other people have confirmed this too. 5FM6 is Magnetic Metallic, it was actually used as a body color for a few years on the Mustang line.

Good paint info - Thank you. In my case it's for my front splitter - which is black - not the Magnetic Metallic on my HP rear spoiler.
Also - I will add photos of the undertray repair, and any work I do to the factory HP splitter in the coming days.

My underpan or belly pan was cracked up by the front brake cooling ducts. I drilled a small hole (~1/8") in the crack where it stopped. This should prevent further crack propagation. I then used black gaffer tape over the crack top and bottom. This method appears to have stabilized the crack.
Please let us know how the Methacrylate adhesive worked.
