Removing Steeda differential bushing inserts

Hey everyone, trying to remove the bushing inserts to test something and I cannot for the life of me get a couple of the factory bolts back in. They torque down part way then won't go in anymore. I'm not sure why as it seemed like a pretty simple thing to do. I am only doing one bolt at a time, and have only the rear drooping a little at the moment. Any tips or tricks for getting the bolts back in?

Don't forget the Steeda kit makes one factory bolt become two bolts so the second bolt will take up space internally until you remove it.

Use a jack to position the cradle up and down and still do one bolt at a time except for the ones where the factory bolt replaces two Steeda bolts. Use a good flashlight to peek inside and make sure you're centered before you try threading by hand.

Thanks for the input. This is from the rear so its definitely not the side with 2 bolts. Did you have any trouble with getting the bolts lined up? Doesn't seem to be a common issue, which is why I was wondering if anyone else ran into trouble getting these bolts back in. Seems like it should just bolt right back into place easy.

I had the same exact issue when I removed mine. I ended up putting some red moly grease along the threads of the bolt. That was a couple thousand miles ago. No issues at all. I re-checked them when I did my axle swap recently and they were still tight.

I sprayed wd40 in the holes and cleaned the bolts on my bench grinder using the wire wheel. After that they went right in.

It could be binding up on the loctite thats in there from previous install. ..
