has anyone had a pmas and tune and returned to stock airbox but was still tuned. im trying to decide if the pmas is worth keeping or if i could get a smoother powerband by returning to the stock airbox. seems with the pmas its not as smooth power delivery as it could be. i may also finally have lund look at my logs and get me a revision if needed. i just didnt want to pay them for something i was supposed to get for free. but wanted to see if anyone had real world experience vs me spending money i may not need to. thanks in advance

That’s odd. Didn’t have any issues with my Lund/PMAS, but I did do a few logs and revisions to make sure with them.

If you’re having issues and the tune isn’t to your liking they likely will revise it without charge. I don’t think they’d make you pay because you aren’t actually adding new parts to really change the tune.

my power delivery is plenty smooth...might just be a tuning hiccup.

I have emailed them twice about taking a look at my logs and they have told me both times it would cost $50 just to look at them which is annoying because part of the reason I originally went with them in the first place was because they offered free revisions secondly I bought The tune when they were offering free revisions but now they are not honoring that so it’s a bit frustrating

I read their site. Looks like you get 3 months of free revisions when you get the first tune. After that it is $50 per 3 month window of free revisions. The date on their site is May 10th 2018.

yes that is their policy now however when i bought my original tune back in 2016, im 99% sure their policy was free revisions for life. now that they are busier they charge to even look at the logs and then for revisions so its frustrating. there are a lot of other good tuners out their but that was a huge selling point for me and now that they arent honoring it.

I feel the same way about the tune revision.

Im 99% sure too because I think that’s the main reason I went with Lund. I’m not defending them on what appears to be a policy change. Do we know 100%? I.E. is it documented somewhere?

part of why I decided to learn how to tune my own car, I have to say when I installed my tune required pmas its been perfect with no issues since day one. I loaded the maf transfer function reflashed and had no issues since. NOT to take anything away from Lund or any other tune like I said ive been at this only a few months. who has been handling you revision with the pmas? ive seen someone recently say it took alex a few tries to get it right, id ask for Dakota or John LundII

What exactly is wrong with the power delivery?
You’ve had the PMAS fitted since 2016 and somehow didn’t bother to get it sorted earlier?

nothing is wrong per say which is why ive dragged my feet with it plus when i asked them last year to take a look at the logs to make sure everything was good they told me i was going to be charged and again as there is no real issue i didnt feel like paying to have them look at it and say its fine especially when i had been under the impression i was going to be able to get free revisions or at least have them look for free. but like i said theres no real issue i just feel like it could be smoother and i wasnt sure if the pmas was a potential culprit in that or if i should just have someone take a look and potentially revise it
