I'm going to install a Cervini's C series grill in my 2018 Non PP GT. Active shutter removal is required.
Any issues or additional steps, or just unplug and remove?

Haven't messed with the Mustang shutters yet but I did remove them on my 15 Focus ST. Pretty sure they work the same across platforms.

When you remove the shutters, there is a motor you have to unplug. In the Focus ST, this will set a "soft code" after the next engine start which will NOT illuminate the CEL but will store a code which can be read when a reader is plugged in. This may or may not cause warranty issues down the road.

If you do not want the soft code stored, you can remove the motor from the shutter assembly, leave it plugged in to the car, and attach it somewhere out of the way.

I did not care either way so I unplugged the motor and removed everything.
