Remove sunglasses drawer?

I've tried searching for almost an hour and can't find anything. Anyone know the easiest way to remove the entire assembly of the little slide out drawer on the left of the steering wheel?

Are there screws that hold it in place behind the dash down there? Clips? I tried to stick my head under there but it's very hard to see anything around it.

There are people on another forum that is (without the dashes) track-mustangs-on-lineDOTcom that have used that place to put the controller for an Autoblip. Check that site. Not able to find exact thread, but I know they took the drawer out. I have to write out the forum name like that because this forum automatically changed it to mustangs6g. Trying to help someone and it's not on this forum... so what.

Reach under the dash and squeeze the sides together. Keep pulling past the stop. It is almost directly above the OBD2 port.
There is nothing back there to mount anything to, so you will have to fab something.

My auto-blip is in there. Open the drawer and then pinch the back sides inward where you see the grip points slightly and wiggle. It will come right out.

Ug... I need one of those auto-blips. I just CANNOT get it on this car. A BMW, gas pedal hinged on the floor... no problem. My Subaru, got it. This car... I dunno WTF is up.

Don't feel bad - my last car was a '12 Taurus SHO, after about 2yrs my son is in the Passenger seat and says - "Hey Dad these seats massage you". I called BS and told him to stop fiddling with the lumbar button. Well a month or so later I was fiddling and HOLY CRAP he was right - I had Active Seats and did not even know...I do miss them, after having 2x back surgeries it was nice to kick on massage and heater.....
