Regular GT with AM PP Wheels - Alignment

Hi there,

I have a 2019 GT (non-performance pack) and have added American Muscle performance pack style wheels. 255's on the front, 275's on the rear. 19" wheels.
My question is about alignment:

• When getting an alignment, should the shop use the regular GT alignment specs or the performance pack alignment specs?

I assume the regular GT specs since there are no performance pack suspension mods - only the wheels.

Any ideas?

It doesnt really matter.

The front camber and caster is where those are different and front camber and caster is non-adjustable, so the Ford alignment specs just tell you if you bent something or if a part has gone bad. Your car should pass both of those VERY tolerant specs with flying colors. So the base specs are slightly more correct because you dont have any PP suspension parts, even though the specs are really just pass-fail gauges.

If you want some good target numbers for the rear camber and toe, there are a ton of threads here. I wouldn’t ever recommend taking to the car to an alignment place that is just going to get it within factory ranges. Thats such a wide zone its not super helpful.

Depends on how you drive or the intended use of the car, but as previously mentioned it doesn't really matter much. You won't notice any difference in alignment between GT nonPP and GTPP.

I moved heaven & earth to get those black PP1 wheels the f^$k off my car. But others like the OP go right out and snag them for their car.

People don't like them because they are hard to clean, and the factory ones are pretty heavy (~33lbs), and a good affordable aftermarket wheel in a similar size can be -8lbs lighter

Gotcha. This is a daily driver not a track car, and I'm not bad with a wheel cleaning brush, so I'm sure I'll live

Dude.....they're awful. I mean absolutely awful to clean. Gives you the arthritis.

I got all the stuff/tools for doing wheels, and this one is everything, especially for those wheels.

You can usually get one at VatoZone.

The two things on the right are my weapons of choice for the PP wheels :

The glove in particular is really good and quick for getting around the base of the spokes etc
