To those of you with a Lund tune that went with LT headers, did they charge you a fee to revise the tune you previously had to add the LT compatability?

Nope. Just open a ticket and let them know what you have and they will send you a revised tune.

I called Lund and asked about an update for the headers. I forget the fellas name I spoke with but he spent plenty of time speaking with me. The Man asked me when I purchased my tune and then explained I did not need an update that headers were "baked" into the tune.

From what I understand "baked" means that as the program has set parameters for learning new air fuel ratios and will adjust the predictions. I think the tune keeps the car for throwing a code with O/R headers as well.

Am I correct? I could just need more coffee.

There really isn't any tune revision needed when going with longtubes unless you're deleting the cats. Lund turns off the rear o2's and COT in the tune unless you request leaving the rear o2's on.

here's my noob question. All the lund tuners say "w/ 2 tunes". Does that mean there are two different preloaded tunes? Just curious :)

there is only one tune needed, no fancy marketing with lund, na updates are no charge, lund will do a "race gas" tune for you if you are indeed running race gas

One is all I'd need. Just wondering why all the descriptions list it as 2 included.

I was wondering about this as well.
It's there because there are times when people order two different tunes for different setups or one normal tune and one cammed tune.

Since the cammed tune is considered a second tune from the normal performance tune we want to make sure you know that there's no charge for it.

Hope that helps.

I definitely saw gains from tune manipulation in my 2012 5.0 when I added longtubes pre and post tune. Mostly the gains were mid range and peak was 13rwhp/10rwtq but midrange 20-40rwhp/rwtq. Tivct should be manipulated IMO when adding LT's
