Years ago, Redline stopped offering MT-90 Manual Transmission fluid because Ford changed the specs for the MT-82, and the Redline doesn't make that viscosity. However, many owners used Redline MT-90 fluid for years and said it was excellent.

I'm curious, has anyone driving a 2018+ GT tried using the MT-90 fluid? ...Results?

Since Redline doesn't recommend any of their transmission fluids for the MT-82 on their own website, regardless of who's tried it, I'd leave it alone.

They recommend MT-LV as a replacement for XT-11-QDC.

I've used it once before, seemed fine. BG Syncro Shift II works well too. I'm currently using MTL which is thicker, and definitely a bit more notchy when cold, but fine once its warm. I think it may be more appropriate for track use since the trans runs hot without a cooler.

I saw the DCTF, which I would think may be closer to Ford specs. Though still not on the official list.

I personally have been using the Motul DCTF, because they do list it, and it seems to work pretty good. Also, slightly notchy when cold, but pretty good when hot.

So, the Redline DCTF does match the Ford specs for 2018+ MT-82's?
I looked up the Ford fluid spec.
If I’m reading it correctly the MT-82 fluid hasn’t changed. Ford hasn’t moved away from DCTF for the 6 speed Getrag.
If I’m wrong hopefully someone will post a correction.

Too thick, this is a bad idea for the MT-82 especially in cold weather. Use a thinner fluid which meets the Ford spec. (Motul Multi DCTF or XT-11-QDC)

Yes, I've been using Motul DCTF exclusively since the first change. Seems to work really good.
