My buddy was driving through his old neighborhood in Detroit and sent me this pic today.

Nice! but it doesn't look like Ford's got the hood/door alignment under control yet.

Very nice, after washing my white focus today, I've decided that white is out, I'm still torn between RR and DIB. We have '13 RR Boss and 13' DIB GT, I really like both colors on the GT350, tough decision

Race cars dont need perfect panel alignment!! It would be true to a 60s Shelby of any type.

I happened to run into this very car last weekend during lunch break. I also happened to be on Mustang6G.com when I heard it coming down the street. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.

So, I was taking pictures of it in the parking lot when its driver came back from an errand, and he offered to start it up for me. He took a few minutes to tell me about some of the features of the car, most of which were reported here already, but it was still cool to hear it in person from someone who's been living with it.

I inquired about the rear wing blocking rear visibility, and he simply said "see for yourself" as he motioned towards the driver's seat. Seats are very comfortable and will definitely hold you in place. Dash was a gunmetal aluminum finish with a black plastic cover over the radio's usual place, like other pictures seen here. Steering wheel has launch control and exhaust controls, which he demonstrated. Car is psychotically loud when in "race" mode, which he said is the only way he drives it. It doesn't sound like any V8 I've heard before. Like a weird cross between an F1 engine and an old big block. I loved it.

Oh, and the rear wing doesn't block as much of the view as I thought it would. The Ford gent said that it happens to block most headlights that end up behind you at night, which is a nice side effect.

Tires were completely bald, much like you see in the picture above. The car had just come back from track testing out West.

Trunk was completely stripped- no carpet or sound deadener.

Didn't get to look at the engine.

Redline was at 8,250. Ford gent said that it felt unusual to go that high when you've been driving around the regular 5.0, but the Voodoo just wants to keep going higher and higher.

Guy was super cool to take the time out of his day to show me around the car. I'm still in shock that I was able to actually sit in this thing and hear the exhaust. It looks so much lower and meaner in person than what photos depict. Any reservations I've had about the front end of the S550 don't seem applicable to the GT350, since its so badass in person.

I didn't bother to ask about MSRP since I knew he wouldn't be able to comment on it anyways.

I found it strange that the carbon fiber wheels are painted semi-gloss black. Two-piece rotors look awesome, and the Ford gent was obviously very proud of their heat dissipation qualities. I told him I'm very anxious to see how it compares to the Z/28, and he just grinned.

I really, really want one now. Like I told him, I'll take mine in classic white with blue stripes. He was quick to say that they do come that way!

He wished me luck on my schooling that will one day enable me to buy one, then gave it some gas as he left the parking lot. Again, its crazy loud. Without question it was the coolest lunch break I've ever been on.

I have to say, that being a car guy (along with attending F1 & Indy events for 33 years, that the exhaust of the GT350 is exotic. I've never heard anything quite like it.

It reminds me more of a v10 than a v8. Or with a different note, such as the Audi 5-cyl. One of a kind.

I'm having the most difficult time choosing a color with this car. There has been a point in time where I have literally, seriously considered every color available (with the exception of orange and yellow). The above picture has me seriously considering RR again. It just looks so properly aggressive. The only thing I'm certain is that I'm getting the stripe delete.

I don't get it. If I were to get an M4, it would be black or mineral grey. Easy. With this car, I literally have no clue. Anybody stressing so much about color as me?

My only saving grace is that the GT350 looks great in all colors :)

You don’t want to know
Me too. Liquid Blue would be my first choice by a long shot if it were available, but I just can't decide which other color I want. The darkest colors are off the list, as are stripes in any color.

Race red /w White Stripes. Roxxy o Natural ........ That is a very nice machine. A GT350 with tech package is all I would need.
