Rear Suspension Problem

Been a lurker here for a while but have a question hopefully someone has an answer to in order to save myself a couple hundred dollars for a diagnosis of the issue. Anyways, my rear passenger side wheel has a slight inward toe which causes it to appear to be slightly forward in the wheel well with a half inch gap in the front and about a 1 3/4 inch gap in the rear between wheel and fender. Other side sits perfectly normal with about a 1 inch gap on both sides between wheel and fender. I noticed this after dropping the car on eibach sportline springs about maybe 6500 miles ago. Have taken a look under and one of the bushings looks pretty bad but hoping someone may have some better insight on what my issue may be. Thanks!

Those big rear control arm bushings can go out. I had a tear in mine and replaced it. Mine didn't seem to be affecting the toe so much that it caused a noticeable fender gap difference tho.

Good luck. Definitely have it thoroughly inspected. Something causing that visible of an issue should be relatively easy to track down.

Thank you for the reply! It's not super noticeable, but it's one of those things that now that I've seen it I can't help looking at it. The difference is literally only about half an inch but it's causing some slight pull to the left which is how I tracked it down in the first place! I'll take some pictures of it when I get a chance and post them here.

Solution: So took it to a shop I have worked with a bunch of times before and had them put it on the lift and take a look. They found that my subframe in the rear had shifted forward a good bit and that was the cause of my wheel sitting forward and slightly toed inward inside the well. When we looked at the subframe bolts it was clear that the washers used to be sitting in a position indicated by the lack of dust in the area and slight rubbing. So we realigned the bolts and pulled the subframe backward and it fixed the problem. Not entirely sure how it happened but it's all fixed now.

Steeda makes alignment pins just for this problem.
+1 on the alignment dowels. If it shifted once, it may shift again.

I definitely need to look into that! Didn’t affect driveability much but god dang it was annoying to look at once I noticed the wheel wasn’t centered in the well!

Make sure the four subframe o bolts are torqued to the proper setting of 129 ft-lbs to reduce the likelihood of it shifting on you again. In addition, the alignment bushing kit is also an excellent idea.
