I can’t tell for sure from your pic but it looks like they are detached. When they both are out it looks normal (maybe even better). i noticed min because only one came loose and it was asymmetrical. When they are attached the window vibrations are greatly reduced.

I took some close-ups. I can see the bumps on your images but they're not as pronounced. Both sides of my car look the same.

I also discovered that the rearview mirror was loose. I tightened it and the vibrations now seem less but they're not completely eliminated.

If your struts/arms were disconnected, the top would sag in at that point. This is clearly not the case with your top.

So it seems like my struts are A-OK. Thanks. The vibrations must be normal for the car. Thanks again.

OP --"Helmholtz Resonance" ?
This is claimed to be a noise from a slightly open window (or maybe a deterioration of the weatherstrip, etc). There's no noise associated with the vibrations, just that when I look out the rear glass via the mirror I see the window shaking a bit. I'm sure it's from air pressure going over & around the top. It's unsettling to check traffic in the mirror and see things wiggling around.
There's no leak around the rear glass and the glass seems firmly attached to the canvas so I don't think there's anything wrong there. I was concerned that something in the structure was loose or worn and that was causing the vibrations. The top appears to be in very good shape and works A-OK but the vibrations are annoying. It seems normal for the car. I'll learn to live with it.
Thx.
