My driveshaft is carbon fiber already. Also I believe that my suspension was set too tight making the car wheel hoop causing all the damage. We dialed back and reduced the launch rpm’s and the car left the line but sadly my factory mt82 had enough, can’t really complain about it she hold for a long time.
What was your best ET and 60’ both NA and boosted?

Have you pulled and opened up your tranny to inspect it yet? Just curious as to what type of damage you may have found? If you decide to rebuild it, please document it for us and let us know what lived, died, or was seriously damaged inside. good luck on whatever you decide to do?
best 1/4 was 9.62 at 150 and 1.53

That’s gettin’ on down through there! Any runs making around 650 rwhp or did you go straight from NA to making 900 rwhp?

Like size? 18x5 and 17x10 28’s M/T
My tires spin a bit on the wheels, kind of adds a bit of a buffer to the drivetrain shock. Do you have beadlocks? I was using VMS racing wheels 17x10 with MT et street r

I did a few runs on the 600 range, 660 I believe it was and I was on the 10.7 if I remember correctly. But it all changed once I switched to 10rib belt I didn’t noticed but my belt was slipping, even at 900 the car wasn’t performing as it should but when I went to the 10 rib it was like having a new car. I was on the 10.2’s and after the belt when to 9’s or flat 10 all the time.

Yes I have weld beadlock’s. I think I’m going to rebuild my mt82 myself and put HD 2,3 and 4th and see if it hold. I was looking at the cost and if I do the work a full rebuild is like $1000

Are you thinking of replacing the synchros with something like SynchroTech’s carbon fiber lined synchros, in addition to welded shift forks, HD 2, 3 & 4 gears and new input, output and countershaft bearings? That might be doable for around $1500+. Does anyone make billet shift forks for the 2011-2017 MT82? Last time I asked someone about it, they weren’t offered by anyone.

I’m at 639 on nitrous. I’m shooting for a 10 sec. ET. Do you by chance remember what launch rpm you used and what the 60’ and mph was when you were making 660?

Was that done on the factory clutch or aftermarket?

yes synchros, shift forks bronze pads, not doing a input at the moment. I haven’t seen anyone do billet for pre 2018.

I’m going to look for some times slips to answer that. Rpm usually I’m from 3000 to 4500, I have always hadmcleod clutches and clutch line.

Oh okay, RST or RXT? Slipping or dumping on launch?

Rtx before rtx hd now, dumping it
That’s a testament to the internals being strong enough to handle that abuse with an RXT clutch. Calimer says that clutch will cause breakage to the transmission. It sounds like you got some good use out of your MT82. How many launches and 1/4 mile hits would you say you were able to get out of it?

Do you have an N2MB WOT Box on the car too for NLS?

No, I don’t do NLS. I have a msd 2 step for launch and do my regular shift letting off and shifting. I don’t beat my transmission. I don’t side dumping, I do more of a quick release than a dump to be honest, I thing that is why lasted so long. I have tons of hits on my car since 2017 from all stock to all the way to 900
