I don't think poly is going to hold up against the non-linear range of motion needed at that control arm location. That's why the rubber ones tear, so quickly. I went with BMR spherical bearings there. You definitely feel more connected to the road with a bearing vs the rubber.

I do wish someone sold bearings with rubber dust covers like the ones Ford installed on the other end of the arm.

It's basically the last thing for me to do. I have entire steeda catalogue minus rear bearings and front control arms/bearings

I still get some vagueness in steering hoping this will lock that down

I installed these same ones along with a whole bunch of other spherical bushings, bearings, control arms and stiffeners.

I'm about to do my control arm and knuckle bushings. Were you able to do both of them with that ICON tool? I was looking to try that or the Maddox version but didn't know if they had the correct diameters for the bushings, or if they were strong enough.

Thanks

My local advanced Auto loans out that tool for free. Pay a deposit and get refunded when you bring it back.

The IKON kit was worth every penny. Was able to push out and insert with all the correct sizes and configuration.

Cool, thanks.

I bought an extra pair of control arms from the junkyard. I anticipating having to take them to a shop and didn't want my car undriveable.
