does anyone where the source of this rattle could be coming from? It’s been driving crazy for months lol. Usually happens from 1k-2k rpms when either speeding up or slowing down.

Is the small compartment door totally closed where the owners manual would usually go?

Also, pull down the glove box door, then pull the felt liner and make sure that your cabin air filter door is totally secure and isn’t bouncing around. While in there look for anything that may have fallen into that cavity or loose wiring looms.

This is interesting. I once found a glob of black putty in the glovebox that was somewhat sticky. Since then I have what sounds like a plastic tube ( like maybe windshield washer tubing) rattling in that area when driving into a stout headwind while traveling 75+. I believe that I will do some deeper investigating in that area.

Thanks CJ.

i checked everything behind the glove box, cabin air filter compartment and everything in that little area, nothing seems to be loose. I went ahead and checked under the cowl, the battery box, and everything seems to be secure. I do have to note that the noise started relatively after loosing my top motor mounts to clear my ac line from the headers.
