I started with the Roush axle-backs on my GT, then when I decided I wanted something louder, I did a resonator-delete with a Heartthrob H-pipe from American Muscle. I went with the H instead of an X because I read/heard that X-pipes are raspier while H-pipes are deeper. That setup gave me the deep rumble I wanted at idle, but had LOTS of popping and crackling while upshifting, downshifting, coasting, etc. After I put in a CAI and tune though, 99% of the extra noise stopped completely. Now, I'm REALLY happy with my exhaust setup and sound. It's loud as hell during a cold start and under heavy acceleration, but sounds deep and wonderful at idle and when I enter/leave our neighborhood at low RPMs. The neighbors appreciate that. ;)I ask because I reeeeeeeeeeeeally want the old school rumble/deep exhaust sound on this car. While we enjoyed the Roush kit on the 2014, the rasp is just not for us. Neither is the "POP" crap many of the exhausts offer when letting off the gas or downshifting.
Dayum, that is loud. A GOOD loud though, and not a raspy snap-crackle-pop "tin can" loud. Here's a quick video of the sound. It's just after a cold start, so the RPMs are higher at the beginning of the clip, then drop down after I rev it.

For what it's worth, I shot the video before I installed the CAI and tune.

I posted a pic and video. Read through the thread.Pics?
