It was a screenshot. I get a lot of the same reactions over and over from this guy. Just wondering what was so funny pertaining to a post that had zero humor. What is this about, and Why is my Avatar in this response?
I think folks who seek rarity (from a collectors standpoint) pick off the wall color and stripe combos. If you change the color (ie- repaint the car), there is zero collector value due to the original condition of the car has been altered from OEM spec as the car was ordered. If you want uniqueness then find a car with no stripes and add whatever color you want that wasn’t offered by Ford. Black would work with any color stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, etc.
That's awesome! Do you happen to have any pics from when you owned it?
He said he’s after rarity for uniqueness not value in one of his posts, thus why I suggested doing something custom.I think folks who seek rarity (from a collectors standpoint) pick off the wall color and stripe combos. I have 2/43 apparently. When I started looking for one this popped up in a nearby town, and I had to have it Have not seen another in the wild.I've always been a huge fan of Porsche/Audi's chalk (milky grey). When I saw my 18 for sale in that similar color with white stripes I jumped on it. Come to find out, only 43 made with white stripes on a 1 year color. Love not seeing another one around.
I love your spec!!! If I did not already have a grey car this would be it!I've always been a huge fan of Porsche/Audi's chalk (milky grey). I found a solid orange 350 at my local dealership a couple years back that I really loved. If you want uniqueness then find a car with no stripes and add whatever color you want that wasn’t offered by Ford. Black would work with any color stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, etc.
I agree, that is why whatever I buy, that is how it will stay. I do not see my cars as investments since I never buy with intent to resale for profit. I do not choose "rare" colors for value but to be unique and that uniqueness as a factory all original spec is very special instead of a wrap or repaint. Just my opinion.I think folks who seek rarity (from a collectors standpoint) pick off the wall color and stripe combos. If you change the color (ie- repaint the car), there is zero collector value due to the original condition of the car has been altered from OEM spec as the car was ordered.
I love it!! Were the fender stripes added?
I dig it! Looks goodWhen I bought my 16, I bought it because I liked it. I also didn't want to see myself coming down the road every day. Factory unique is not the same as personalized. In the picture above, I changed the black pins to white. Car never came that way but the pin stripes disappeared the further you got away from the car. Besides America![]()
