Why do people think manufacturing errors makes it "rare"? Especially with things that can be easily altered.

5 base R's. hah.

I do believe that mine is a '1 of 1' but only because of the AG/black stripes/no black roof combo. but I don't think that means it's worth any more than another base R.

There were ~54 base Rs built in 2016, not 5. I bought one of them and ordered a 2017 just like it. (Still UMH :doh Based on surveys, I expect the 17 production numbers to be similar for a base R.

Is the missing front splitter (dealer, not factory installed) and the missing rear spoiler (should be "factory" installed by 3rd party) the "mis-build"? Not terribly relevant and easily corrected. Is the rear deck lid punched for the spoiler mounting holes?

Just to add to your production numbers for the 54 base R models built for the 2016 MY 41 of these 920A Shelby's stayed in America with 9 going to Canada and 4 being exported and I believe all of those 4 cars went to the Caribbean.

The QC on the S550 has been terrible since day one. It's amazing stuff like this gets through.

Yes, the QC on S550s is so bad it's quite possible every one ever built is one of one. ;)

Funny, this week my friend noticed that in my Base R model the shifter surround says "SYNC" and in his base R model it is blank. Others with Base cars alerted me they have blank ones as well - can anyone with Base R's take a look and see?
