Lol my early '15 GT was shipped with all red door panel inserts instead of black with red stitching...

Looks like someone took a 4-cylinder eco-boost base car and put the R badging and aftermarket R wheels on it. A washer or dryer comes from the factory with a defect and it gets sold for less at a wholesale store. This dealership wants to make "extra" money off of the defect. Funny stuff....

There were ~54 base Rs built in 2016, not 5. I bought one of them and ordered a 2017 just like it. (Still UMH :doh Based on surveys, I expect the 17 production numbers to be similar for a base R.

Is the missing front splitter (dealer, not factory installed) and the missing rear spoiler (should be "factory" installed by 3rd party) the "mis-build"? Not terribly relevant and easily corrected. Is the rear deck lid punched for the spoiler mounting holes?

There are actually quite a few base 920A 16' Shadow Black R models. . not ONE. I've seen probably nearly 5-6 for sale over the last 2-3 months. Some no stripes, some black stripes, some white stripes.

This year (17') I think were in 10-15 base cars built so far of nearly 300 total 17' R model chassis's.

I think perhaps for 17' there will be less Base R models built than for 16'. . . we will see though.

The uber rare 16' base triple yellow 16' R just sold out of Apple Ford in PA with 290 miles on the clock. Apparently a 1 of 1 as well, however ironically I was just sitting in this 16' R which is a Base 920A and also YELLOW produced for 16'
