All that said, I do enjoy my stock 2015 Mustang GT convertible.
My friend, you got the right car. Your car is faster than race cars of years past, and much more reliable and has many more features. Can't go wrong with it. If the heat wasn't so bad in AZ, I would have one as well.

I'm kinda pissed at the trunks sheet metal. I shut the trunk with my wrist(my mistake) a little hard, since the first time i shut it, it didn't quite shut. I just noticed i dented it. I really didn't come down that hard. Pretty bummed about that, not too bad, but it's right on the flat spot that kicks up on the back so i see it. Eventually wanted a spoiler anyways.
I've heard of them denting from closing. There are spoilers that wrap around that area. CDC Outlaw, some Shelby (not Ford Shelby), etc..

A good reason for adding a closing strap for people who don't have/want a spoiler.

It wasn't free and I don't have two :) Seriously, if I'm gonna nit pick, first would be paint quality, second body panel fit and third interior lighting quality. The value for the money is amazing though and I have no mechanical issues whatsoever after 4920 miles. My 500 mile oil change was analyzed and everything looked great. I don't anticipate a shift fork issue because I don't drag or power shift the car without the clutch. Car will be out of warranty time wise before I hit 20k miles. I love the car and never dreamed as a kid I could own a machine like this.

I've only had the car 3 days. First I don't see a trunk open button inside the car but maybe I haven't found it yet? It would be nice to have/find. Second the size of the key fob. I look like a retired porn star with this thing bulging in my pocket LOL. 3rd- Tooling around feel. The car feels slow on regular acceleration compared to my lowly 2013 Camaro SS. I know its a way faster car but it doesn't feel like it. I'm hoping getting better 94 octane gas in there and the dealer gas out improves that. The Camaro felt faster doing nothing this car seems it will feel faster when really doing something. Its okay but its definitely different.

Last too much window glass. In the Camaro I never feared a sniper's bullet because no one could see me through the gun slit windows. Now I feel so vulnerable to attack. Ok I'm kidding I love the outward view its perfect!
Down below the steering wheel to the left is your trunk button. Also on your key fob. Maybe you should go back to your GM product, will give you a minimal bulge. You can re-watch Transformers and pretend Megan Fox is with you like it's ten years ago. We'll be over here in 2019, being awesome. :sunglasses:

Wipe the rear panel in one direction across the whole length with a microfiber.
Eventually obtaining the "brushed aluminum" look.

The transmission. I need to try changing the fluid It's not smooth. It has a lot of gear lash. Amazing that in the 10 years since my last GT was built, they could only slightly improve the trans.

Not sure if this was brought up already, but cleaning the inside of the rear window is a pain in the arse. This next one is really for any new car, but the butt-ugly caution billboards on the sun visors irritate the piss out of me. All they do is make me not look at what they say. Have had the car for almost 2 months and I still have not read them. Anyone now a good method for removing that crud?

Mine is smooth like glass. Did I not mention you should shake the sand and metal shavings out of the towel first?
My 2016 also doesn't have any swirls. But the only physical contact with it is lightly with a wool mitt and LOTS of quality suds when washing the car and a clean microfiber towel (if not blow drying after the wash).

I have no doubt it is very easily scratched and if the dealer even washed the car once, it is likely scratched. One more reason to order a car and tell them you will refuse delivery if it's been washed.

On the plus column, I saw a post where someone polished it back to new condition. I think the part might not have any finish applied to it and could be re-polished until its so thin you can see thru it.

No power reclining seat backs. I am sure the later models have them but come on..... our 1958 Olds Super 88 had them but they could not put them in my 2015?
Isn't it because its a 2 door and you need to flip up the seat to let people in the back?

For sure. Who wants to wait for that power seat in both directions? I'm not even sure it would travel far enough forward.

Nah it's a money thing. My 2001 Acura was a two door. Had power backs. Then levers to quickly move the seat. Even better is when you put the seat back in place it went exactly to where it was set by the electric motor before you parros the quick access lever.

I wasn't disputing your detailing techniques, I was poking fun at the fragile nature of that gloss plastic. Now I have to go sprinkle some more sand in my microfiber towels.

Here's a really detailed video on how to polish it.
