the GT3RS equivalency on the track is quite the accomplishment for Ford.

That is an awesome video. Hopefully it puts to rest the "Randy is a biased GM shill" discussions. I think I'm gonna have to subscribe to Issimi.

Put carbon ceramics on the front rotors (GT3RS has ceramics), lose 23 pounds rotating mass each front wheel....repeat lap times.

From the scene at the end, it looks like Randy's more of a Ferrari fan.

It is but its 100K. I will be curious how many they will sell at that price long term. I was interested in the driving dynamics but he didnt really speak about them.

Can we get that hood strut?

Wow, 15 hundreths of a second between the GT3RS and the GT500 CFTP. Unreal. I wish they had a ZLE there for the same day same track comparison to put that rival to the test.

Yeah but it's still half the price of the Porsche :)

I agree !! The ZLE needs to get in the ring with the new 500. I can’t wait to see that comparison !

Entertaining video. One of the few 20 minutes videos I have watched all the way to the end... :sunglasses:

I think I know what is going to happen now that we have a H2H w/ the GT3 RS with same day same driver, and the GT500 CFTP nearly pulled off the upset. At the 2019 C&D Lightning lap, the GT3 RS went 2:41.6, and the ZLE A10 went 2:45, those are mostly same day mostly same drivers (they take the best time from the bunch). Assuming the GT3 RS is barely quicker than the GT500 CFTP, that would put the Shelby at about 2:41.9, but that doesn't factor in the differences in track type, so that's just an educated guess. If that close call with the GT3 RS holds true on other tracks, the GT500 CFTP will be quicker than the ZLE. Also, the GT3 RS lapped the Nurburgring in 6:56. IIRC, the ZLE lapped at 7:16. Could the GT500 CFTP be a sub-7 min car at the N'ring? I guess it's possible based on the time vs. the GT3 RS. Hopefully we'll see one day.

This is going to sound like a troll. But at 100k and with 260? More HP I dont see it as a upset if the gt500 is faster than a gt3rs. There is more to a track car than lap times. Maybe not to a drag car.

Im damn impressed the gt500 can hide its weight.

Im really stuck on the 100k with my dealer's horrible service..
