  1. They say a GT350 Mustang is $30,000-$40,000?

I suspect you are right on this one. I specifically waited until the 2017 models when all the goodies became standard. From what I can recall, the early models without the track packages were overheating, which I can believe. I had a 2016 GT with a Performance Package, so no coolers at all, and...
  2. MSI Racing Lug Nut question

Thanks for the responses guys. I am about to install the R hubs and just wanted to make sure I could use the MSI lugs until I get a set for street use. By all means the MSI lugs wouldn't be permanent.
  3. MSI Racing Lug Nut question

Hey guys it's been a while but I'm finally getting to the point where I can install my OEM GT350R CF I got from the forum here. Thanks to @Tomster I secured a set of lug nuts from MSI Racing for the CF wheels. But... I still have the base GT350 aluminum wheels and what to use those for street...

I'm crossing my fingers for an actual electric mustang.

I don't think anyone is surprised by this. Now let's do a road course.
  7. Using your R models carbon fiber wheels for HPDE events

Hey guys, just chatted with MSI and I got the correct product number, 40.0001, and they come in at about $4.25 a piece. So if anyone is looking for the lug nuts for their GT350R wheels, that's your part number. He also informed me that they will be working with Ford i believe to become the...
  8. Using your R models carbon fiber wheels for HPDE events

Hey @Tomster, looking at the lug nuts section here http://www.msirp.com/lug-nuts, do you know off hand which product I need for the GT350R studs? Thanks in advance, been a big help in my non-R to R wheel conversion project. :)
  9. GT350 weight watchers

Hey guys, in an effort to help others, as well as myself, I would like to start a thread similar to this one, but for the gt350 specifically: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/the-what-things-weigh-thread.15864/page-39 I do know that the GT350 shares a lot of common components with the...
  10. Randy Pobst in the GT500

Only reason I still live in Florida these days: flat roads, some fun tracks and consistent weather all year long.
  11. Gt305r wheel studs

Thanks for the education and suggestions. Only question i have left is in terms of lubrication. I know the manual and service steps don't explicitly state it, but is there any lubrication I need, such as when i put the half shaft back into the hub, or something along those lines?

  13. And the winner is...

I know this is a Shelby forum, but I think this is worth the look. I've always been a bit Ford biased, but they must be doing something right. https://www.motor1.com/news/391330/mustang-leads-challenger-outsells-camaro/
  14. Gt305r wheel studs

Totally, it will be nice to have the tools around anyways if I need to replace them again, esp since I'm tracking the car. I've changed the pads once all the way around, so a little experience there. Really appreciate the help, I want to make sure this install goes right, especially on this car...
  15. Gt305r wheel studs

Thank you so so much for these detailed instructions. Seems there are a lot of nuances to doing the back, which I was kind of expecting. Time to start gathering and preparing for a fun weekend of car work.
  16. New 2019 GT350R owner coming from a Porsche 911 - first impressions!

Not an R owner, but I've got a non-R I'm slowly Frankenstein-ing into one! Anyways, welcome and have fun, this car is amazing!
  17. Gt305r wheel studs

I know this is a really old thread, but I am in the process of doing this exact install on my non-R after buying some R wheels from a fellow member here on the site. It sounds like the fronts are relatively easy, but the rears require a little more work. I found a very helpful thread post here...
  18. California OEM GT350R Carbon Fiber Wheels - Complete Set

@lightrules Thank you for your business, this sale went well, and I would recommend you to others in the future should you choose to sell anything else.
  19. Using your R models carbon fiber wheels for HPDE events

Thanks for the advice. I decided to go with hubs since I also heard replacing the studs alone could be problematic. But I think I will be using the MSI lugs on the R hubs. Also, I assume with the R hubs/studs that I could still rotate the base gt350 wheels for non track days? I mean I guess it...
  20. Using your R models carbon fiber wheels for HPDE events

Hey guys thanks for all the replies and information will bookmark for reference. Also @Tomster looks like you might be right. Since I have a base gt350, I'll have to order the R hubs due to the longer studs and then install those myself. Looks like its time to research changing gt350 hubs, yay!
