Why is Superman considered a hero? There's nothing heroic in fighting bad guys when you're completely invincible and immune to absolutely everything, including bullets. Given his supernatural powers, anyone could do that. Piece of cake.
Ordinary people who risk their lives for a good cause are heroes. An indestructible supercreature that doesn't risk anything is not.

My question was always WHY did he not take this super speed and DESTROY every bit of kryptonite that reached planet earth? I mean with that destroyed he truly would be invincible.

Who cares? If you can't see them or touch them, then it doesn't matter how they are.

But anyway, Terry Pratchett answers this question in his 'Mort' novel. When an old, ugly witch dies, and Mort, who is Death's assistant, comes to take her soul, he is stunned to see said soul metamorphose from the old hag he had just met into a blindlingly beautiful young woman who says to him, "I wasn't always old, you know. This is how I used to look a long time ago".
So yes, ghosts will preserve whatever appearance they wish to preserve from their lifetime, boobs included.
