You didn't make a mistake. You just spend money on other unnecessary stuff that doesn't contribute to the actual performance of the car, something someone with a GT could possibly do.

Like i mentioned earlier, you have only $2k in actual performance modifications, modifications that directly impact how the vehicle performs. Everything else is just aesthetics.

Also, WTF is an ALP Jammer and why did you pay $1047 for it?

It's a radar jammer so when the police use their radar laser thing it doesn't read the speed of your car I think I needed that

So I've had my ecoboost for about 4 months now still very happy with it. I've done some calculations, so far I've added about $5200 of aftermarket tint, springs etc etc. i plan on getting a turbo kit from either MAPerformance or fftec which is gonna add another 5k. My ecoboost premium fully loaded otd was around 34k +5k and another 5k for the turbo. At this point I'm gonna reach 44k for my 34k. I should have gotten the GT PP and the Horse power would be about the name just insurance would be a little less
You spent 5k on tint and springs?? :frusty: Turbo kit will be around 3.5k...which includes DP. I don't understand why you are adding prices for non-performance parts if you're frustrated about not getting the 5.0. The coyote at my local shop ran about 370/375 on the dyno stock... A turbo kit + tune will put your around 430/400.

EDIT: Utilizing an e30 tune from MAP I'm sure you can achieve close to 500hp.

Ive been driving for over 10 years and i never once needed a radar jammer. I also have driven in California very frequently recently and i never once needed a radar jammer.

Both are good. I don't think many more companies will be offering turbo upgrade kits. FFtec I think will have 3 turbo sizes to choose from, however tuning from Adam at MAP is spot on. Wait a little for more dyno graphs to come out though.

Will any of those turbo smoke a stock GT?

Completely stock, yes.

Light bolt ons, nope.

Map and fftec advertise their kit for 3500 to 3600 that's without shipping and without an intercooler, charge pipe, I just got an invoice from fftec its gonna run me around 4k ish plus I gotta find someone to install it which is idk how much, but no where near it would only cost me 3k

You'll save a lot of money if you start turning wrenches yourself. I actually don't think the install on these turbo kits will be difficult given the amount of room in the engine bay and my experience installing parts so far.
