When I was researching this, I found people that had run quicker ET's on E85 but faster mph on Q16.
Depends on your power range.

If you are talking 1000-1500hp E85 is dang amazing.
But if I am making 1500+, well Q16 is dang amazing.

But if we are talking 1000HP or less, then most don't need anything more then MS109, Leaded 110, or Pump E85.

since in the subject of fuels. Anyone know if LL100 or LL110 would offer better knock prevention/keep happier knock sensors compared to 93+Torco since the later is dependent on quality of 93oct, mix amount and mixing method??

I don't know why it hated it so much, but it was down 8mph, and the knock sensors were+3-4 down the track on a 3.5" pulley. It was enough for me to pull the plugs and do a leakdown. It was fine, might have been bad av fuel, but i wont try it again.

What measured a/f do u guys look for when running e85,right now I'm seeing .78 .79??
Yup, I’m right around .79 at WOT. 22.5 degrees of timing and knock sensors are adding ~5.5.

Stop using A/F, use lambda. It's much easier.
Correct, but on my sct software my measured a/f reads lambda. But I should have just said lambada!!.

I would agree.... I did a lot of testing with Q16 and its pretty much amazing.

Although I literally can not stand the smell when pouring it into a tank.
My god, is it some rowdy stuff.

But for 99% of the people on this forum, they will never have a combo pushing the limits of pump E85... let alone justifying something like Q16.
Some will never understand and are blinded by E85 bandwagoners... We used to run E85 years ago in our 40+psi 9sec 4G63 DSMs and once we switched over to Q16 the gains were incredible... Ive never considered E85 again

yeah, but Q16 is insanely expensive compared to E85

The little bit better it is then e85 and believe me it's a very little at our power level, its not worth the money.E85 is the best fuel for the money and I'm not an e85 bandwangoneer.

I was amongst the first few running e85 in my evo 8 back in the day when they first hit US shores...followed by evo 9, X, turbo jet ski, CtsV, Escalade, S4, now s550 and they all made/make great reliable power on e85 for about $2/gal. Nobody can afford to daily q16 lol and very few are making enough power to realize/need it’s potential.

AV gas has the wrong vapor pressure to run well on the ground. It is designed to run at high altitude.

Might be a possibility in Denver
