Quicker throttle response

Your not getting it. It's not telling the throttle to open quicker, it telling the throttle to open more. What you feel is the throttle body opening more with less input. Don't confuse this with acceleration.

I am getting it... Because I had one... So I know how they work...

Go straight to WOT with and without this device. With the device, it opens quicker because the ECU is getting the WOT input quicker... Why is it so hard for people to understand this...

You are using the wrong terminology. The only quickness involved in this equation is the time it takes for your right foot to get to WOT. The device does nothing to change how fast the throttle body opens, it simple opens with less throttle input.

You will not reach WOT measurable quicker with this device, as the time it takes your foot to travel the extra distance is not measurable. What you are feeling is the reduced modulation on everything in between.

Lol, it doesn't, at least not that is measurable. If you think you can move your foot to WOT with that device quicker than without it, I'd like you to measure it. Hint, you won't be able to.

Lets not get into another debate about how it works. Nobody cares how it works. When I drive my car, I shouldn't have to mash it down harder, faster, or farther to get it to feel like it has 435 hp when I drove Kias that felt more responsive at much less throttle input. I don't always want to feel like I'm pushing on the gas pedal like that. In Sport and Track modes, you don't have to do that. Which again is why I said that if you do not have the Premium option and do not want to tune then this device is perfect for you.

I'm getting a tune regardless...the idea is to find out if this device does anything a tune cannot do.

If all it does is change throttle modulation (throttle position in function of pedal position), then this device does not add value to someone that is already getting a tune...because one can change the throttle modulation via tune.

Not to say that the device does not work, I would appreciate being able to alter throttle modulation via a push button or knob, basically is like getting sport and track mode modulation on a base.

Your foot controls quickness, not the device in question. The device only alters the pedals modulation (small input, larger output). Stomping on the pedal in both cases will produce the same results, as the speed of your foot is what is controlling things.

Nobody cares in that it doesn't have to be a full debate on exactly what it does. If you followed along this thread you'd know that it was discussed, debated, and argued at length as to how it works or whether it does this or that or whatever. The company that makes it even chimed in and explained what it does and how it works. And even that turned into a debate. Go back a few pages and read up on it if you wanna know that bad. But it doesn't need to be discussed fully again.
