Hey all! I'm buying new wheels and tires for my 2018 GT. I put snow tires on the stock wheels and I'm looking to get a summer set. I'm thinking of doing a square setup with 19x9.5 wheels and 275/40/19 tires. Would this work out well? What about 10 inch wheels?

Thanks for the help!

Both would be good options. Lots of nice 10” square wheels out there for our cars, but nothing wrong with 9.5” square either. Either will work with a 275/40R19 tire.

Thanks Nightmare. Would one width provide a different look compared to the other?

9.5" would have slightly more wheel protection, given the same tire on either. Maybe a slight change in concavity too.

Not much of a difference, and the look (from the side anyway) depends more on the wheel offsets. In a 19x10, you’d want a ET35 or ET40 for a nice flush look. For a 19x9.5 you want like a ET35 or so to be flush.

The tire will be ever so slightly stretched on a 19x10 and its square on a 9.5” wheel. Rim protection wont change much where it matters because the way the tire sidewall fits to the rim bead. On a 19x10 you could also run a 285/35R19 tire, but a 275/40 is still a good choice.

With the 19x10 you might have a +35 on the front to clear the calipers. Just depends on how the wheel is designed.

But 19x9.5 all around is good with some 275/40.
